... The 35,000th post was only 81 minutes after after serfty's predicted date and time. I would a guess that this a new record on AFF for having the closest prediction.
Might have been closer than that, but my flight commenced boarding... ;)

Not really...

My calcualuations happened to come out sometime in the afternoon of the 10th ... I relaised I would be in SYD that day and in a QP that evening ...

Oz_mark's new strategy of waiting until the last possible moment have paid dividends by scooping the pool in AFF's 1,500th member thread.

Will make it two in a row as he also has the only remaining prediction alive in JohnK's 3,000th post thread.

It's in the timing of the guess. Much to be said for not firing prematurely. On the other hand holding fire too long is also bad.

Well done. You have 2 in a row now and a wonderful prize donated by serfty.

Whatever your secret oz_mark, you win the ones that count. :)

I'm just getting back to some of these forums. Which guess did I actually fall over the line with JohnK :?:

oz_mark is stingy like that. But maybe I could find one of those domestic economy amenity packs they hand out on the red-eyes!

Thanks, but I got one coming back from Perff last Sunday night.

72A was really great.

I hope you enjoyed the air race!

72?? Did you request the back of the bus?

The air race was really great as was the Houghton Wine Co on the Friday. (I think there was a few too many bottles consumed by too few people though I'm not sure)

I did request the back of the bus as I've never sat back there before. The extra leg room along the window beside 71A was greatly appreciated. :D

I think I may have experienced this exact same phemonenon once or twice before at Houghton

Must be the lack of daylight saving.

An issue that will be rectified in a weeks time. (and since my current work asisgnment is for a client in Melbourne, it will make my life a bit easier :) )

(And yes, the air race was cool)

We were on the south side, right on the waters edge. I'm surprised you didn't see us :!:

.... and the pilot of the B105 support helicopter was an idiot.

I was on the south side, not too far away from the big screens (but not so close that I actually knew how any particular flight through the course scored)

I am sure you viewed the helicopter flying through a different set of eyes to me. To me it was just a helicopter flying back and forth.
