Okay here's a question for you techno dudes & dudesses out there. I had set the alarm on my Samsung Galaxy S phone to go off today at 0200 and at 0215 & neither alarm went off.

Fortunately I woke up of my own accord at 0210 but thought I must've slept through the first alarm but when I looked at my phone when the time changed to 0215 nothing happened.
This has happened to me once or twice. Not sure if the Samsung Galaxy S has an issue with 2 alarms set to go off close to each other. If I need to make sure I wake up and want 2 alarms then I will use 2 different phones but even that has failed for me at times as I just sleep through both of them.

Anyway another way would be to set one alarm at say 2:00am and have 5 snoozes at 5 minute intervals which would take you through to 2:20am. Then set a second alarm at say 2:30am and have 5 snoozes at 1 minute intervals. The alarm buzzes for around 30 seconds (maybe more) if you do not snooze. But then don't do what I do and switch off the alarm accidentally and go back to sleep waiting for the next snooze.

Also if you really need to make sure you wake up then reset the alarm everynight by simply clicking on the alarm and then clicking on "Save" and make sure the following message appears.

"This alarm is set for x days, x hours, and xx minutes from now."

With all the site issues over the weekend did we lose many posts?
Only the ones that would have been posted had the people who would have posted the posts been able to log on to actually post the posts. ;)

What ever that means.

For some strange reason I wrote my post count down on Fri or Sat and this morning it had gone down by 23 posts.

Perhaps someone had been cleaning up the duplicate posts. There were many of those.

I did a bunch of deletions of double and triple posts over the weekend. But doing it by iPhone doesn't give me the option of adding comment. I think I did a couple of straitmans but not that many

Ohhh! That is what you were asking! At least you are still over 10,000 posts. ;)

Reboot phone. Modify current alarm (move it forward one minute, move it back). Check that it has the message "Alarm is set for xx_".

The alarm clock "application" could have crashed and is no longer scheduling alarms. Also on my Galaxy SII I've seen some quirkiness with alarms at times - setting a day for example can incorrectly set the alarm for another day.

If it was actually going off, but there was no sound ... then there would be seperate things to check,

Thanks heaps Mal. Did that & it worked! :p

Thanks John I like the second option better as the first sounds a tad risky with the potential of not knowing what snooze you're up to.

Greetings all, from rather grey and wet Chennai!

Has anyone got any useful contacts for lost luggage? A colleague is leading a group going to Bidyadanga in the Kimberley and QF have managed to lose a bag full of medical equipment somewhere between Perth and Broome. The good people at Broome don't seem to know where the bag is ("it was checked on in PER but isn't here in BME") and don't seem to understand the need for it to be tracked down ASAP - Bidyadanga not the easiest place to get a medical team or equipment to!

She has tried twitter (since it worked for Stephen Fry's wallet) but isn't having much luck, and calls are going through to MEL without much help.

Anyone got good experiences or contacts in WA or any secret luggage-finding-genius contact numbers?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried ringing the 13 13 13 number to see if they are able to help?

Yep, I think that it was the 131313 diverting to MEL, where they don't quite understand the logistics of the Kimberley! - Most people don't understand the distances, lack of people and lack of access :( The next flight PER-BME has apparently landed, still lacking the medical equipment... we will keep trying! It's a bit hard trying to provide remote help from India (like my very own little call centre here, really!) to a bunch of non-FFs, but we'll keep our heads up

Just got back from Lewes (for Bonfire Night celebrations it's the place to be) and wow, what a cool event! Pics will hopefully go up later this evening. Just doing some final packing now then shall head off to LHR for the long flight 'home'

Just enjoying a pear cider in the Virgin Lounge. After a day of driving on the motorway, where my iPhone has overheated twice, and an autism test at UQ (I'll get the results at some point - part of a study)… a refreshing pear cider in the lounge is just what I needed. Only problem is now I want another one, and I drove here!

Spend a few hours at Sydney Eye Hospital today, rather concerned about blurry vision and blinding lightning flashes. Good news, my eyes are still perfectly formed. Which means I'm spending to much time on computers, iPhones and iPads, unless it's a tumor (arnie voice on that one). Anyway, if you notice me here too much tell me to get lost, in the nicest possible way, of course.
