Mwahaha I am not sure about that drron - I don't think any of my patients have been given enough free non-physio time to up their post count. Although your posts whilst on the postop analgesia could be entertaining....:D

Have been seriously thinking about it but I actually detest DRW, although the people attending are great. :)

The good thing about DRW this time, is that my QFF gold renewal will be sorted out by the flight there and back. That is May, by which time hopefully will have a better idea of whether to focus on status at DJ in my remaining six months, or go for plat at the rat. Hmm.

Go for gold, DJ all the way

Brisbane vs Central Coast A-League grand final.

Disappointing. I would have preferred Brisbane vs Adelaide or even Gold Coast. Oh well...

Does anyone believe that deja vu could be real and not our imagination playing tricks?

There have been many times in the past where I have dreamt of being in a place which has become reality sometime in the future.

Which leads me to the next complicated question. Is it possible that we have more than once chance to live our lives on Earth? And I am not talking about re-incarnation or even parallel universes.

They say what you think about you bring about. Perhaps when you think of a scenario you unconsciously go about making it happen. There's a lot to be said about those subliminal messages.

I've had it happen to me also.

I certainly believe you.In 1976 we went to NZ taking our 2 year old son.Driving north from Palmerston North he suddenly said-I've been here before. No you haven't.Yes,around the corner is a straight road with big trees and up on the hill(indicating his left side) is a red house. And it was exactly as he described.
Was he remembering a past life?Whatever,i still have no scientific explanation for it.

Do any of you IT gurus out there know how to save stuff thats on your Austar hard drive thingy you get when you have the program Mystar which allows you to record shows?

We're just in the process of moving house & I don't want to lose all the episodes of Divine Design that I've recorded as I'm using them as reference material to furnish the new place.

Thanks in advance.

I am no IT guru. Are you referring to Mystar? Are you moving to a place where you will no longer have Austar?

Yep Mystar. Moving from DRW to BNE so will have to give the Austar set top box back to Austar at Winnellie NT before we head off which makes me think I'd have to do the copying to a CD/DVD prior to doing this.

If I transfer the account to my new abode I'd still end up with a new Austar set top box which will have wiped the slate clean.

Wrong forum to go into details but that is very similar ro my experience(s). I believe we have the ability to predict the future, if you can really call it that. I know my mother can and to a certain extent I can as well.

Perhaps our spirits, souls, what ever you want call them, are able to do a lot more than we think.

I am definitely no scientist but science has no way of explaining my experience(s), or the experiences of others, other than simple coincidence.

Interesting thought. What is reality?

How many hours of shows do you want to take?

You may be better off getting yourself a Hard drive TV recorder, link them up with whatever the better A/V connection available between them and play the austar while recording.

Failing that, A/V programming is rather disc space hungry* so perhaps a purchase of a USB hard drive of 500 Gbyte or more and one of the PC A/V recording packages.

FWIW, I use a 400Gbyte hard drive/DVD burner combo and record directly onto the HDD; later on, any program I wish to retain I can burn to DVD.

*Typically 4.7Gbyte for a two hours program (standard DVD), but this depends upon recording quality.

That has to be a royal PITA if you have to play "catch up" in the DVD burning process.

Thanks Serfty, Nige & Anat0l for the tips & link. The My Star disc is about 96% full & I wanted to keep just about all of it full so not sure how many hours that equates to. I'll pass on the above info to SO who likes getting his teeth into these techno type issues.

In the meantime if I don't see another Pack n Send cardboard carton in my life it'll be too soon. Moving takes up way too much time & gets in the way of more important issues like computer time. :p

Saw the weirdest looking footwear today.

Half boot and half thong.

Looked totally revolting. But who am I to judge whether something looks fashionable or not....

Ohh dear I think I actually own a pair of these courtesy of some online shopping in the US. Haven't quite figured out what to wear them with to avoid the " cankle" effect ;)

I'm glad you pointed out that it was footwear,a combination of boot and the other sort of thong might look very weird indeed:!::mrgreen:
