Qantas LAX First Lounge

Technically though on one of must last visits on QF F was denied entry to CX due to priority given to CX pax, the AA F lounge had closed and it was only BA which did away with QF F dining when the JSA ended in 2013z
Yes, it is known that CX first entry at LHR can be difficult in the times before CX flights depart. Currently, 1pm-3pm after the noonish flight leaves and before the evening bank is more likely for access.

Any info on when they expect to move back the the proper location?
There have been recent anecdote's on FlyerTalk that the windows have been papered up indicating that repairs are imminenent.

Today there's a post that repairs have indeed begun; the lounge is expected to reopen before the end of this year.

I can confirm that QF’s construction contractor has begun their work in the lounge. Current estimate is completion before the end of 2026.

I cannot comment on the scope of the work but I think we’re all delighted it’s in progress!

Jinx!
I was at LAX last night. Grabbed a shower first, then had to sit at the bar. Seemed to quieten down a bit after QF12 was called; I was on 16. While I was told there was a 1hr time limit, that didn’t seem to be monitored for me. Probably only stayed there for maybe 1.5hrs before walking to gate 134.

Oh this one hour limit would majorly eff me off! When in LA, I almost always check out of my hotel in WeHo by 4pm, then head to LAX and then spend 4-5 hours in the lounge which makes for a very chill departure day.

I believe that’s just the limit for sitting in the temp WP dining area. Not the lounge itself.

Anyway, by the sounds of it - work is progressing on restoring the proper F lounge.
