Still not allowed to fly - but am pressing for a trip to Queensland for my zero birthday in lieu of Alaska. More tests, CT scans, blood tests. Lupus on the list. I was healthy in early December. Maybe I should take up smoking. At least Insurance paid for Alaska cancellations.
 
The 'zero' birthday you are referring to is of course your 40th :oops:
Good luck with the flying clearance - when were you supposed to be travelling? I thought June????

But they're clearly talkin' out their proverbial. Perhaps they heard the phrase and think it sounds good.

Your long term health is way more important than a silly milestone birthday?

Of course. :p.
Alaska plans were in 3 weeks time. Just as well I pre-emptively cancelled that in March. Would be a very large claim as the cruise was due for payment. Now - See a physician on 24th and fly out 27th. Come what may.

But clearly, haematologists do not like people with dvt to fly.

Yeah. I know. But I just cant equate this with something like cancer. Its like an invisible threat.
