That reminds me. I saw this sign the other day.

Bargain. Makes you want to go inside and buy 2....

50 billion to save 4 Liberal seats yet no money to save the car industry. Pork barrelling at its finest.

Rolls Royce submarines but a Third World Class National Broadband network both delivered by the same man who keeps repeating himself. It's never been a more exciting time to try to vote the government out of office!

Wow. So is this thread going to turn into a political barracking one?

Next step in health saga. Cancer clinic at Royal Adelaide Hospital. Coz that's where Haematology lives for outpatients. Not a pleasant office. But sadly, awfully busy.

Now that's going just a little too far! Sheets I find odd, but not crazy. Beds themselves ?

Someone got it. ;) When you need a perfectly flat bed that is extremely difficult for someone to grab and rip off. After my white glove test revenge - leave just the right amount of moisture of the surface being tested so that the gloves get wet but not enough that you get in trouble for leaving puddles around.

Perhaps in the armed forces where a neat and smooth bed is everything?

For the Army maybe but not the Air Force :!:

and the airforce told me that their training was just too hard.
Yeah because that Army training was nothing...

Those same NCOs "politely suggested" that we re-apply copious amounts of "special" coating - starch - during the wrinkle-removal process to enhance the longevity of the required creases.
Many years later MrsTheEmu "politely suggested" that I abandon the practice (on economic grounds).
Ever eager to please, I stopped ironing… her stuff.
And tablecloths.
Apparently seersucker is supposed to be lumpy.

I missed that stage, fortunately.

Funny that. For SA it means over 2,500 jobs. Clearly you dont understand how awful the employment situation is here. Saving 4 seats? Not really. One will go regardless. Its playing your own politics to say this is about saving seats. Every political party in SA is pleased right now. Maybe time to put a bipartisan hat on for a change.

Really - not enough money chucked at the car industry over the years? Got us absolutely nowhere. They never understood that no one wanted to buy the style of cars they kept making. Something to do with supply and demand.

Well if they were serious about giving SA a boost then they need look no further that the NFCRC. Can't remember the exact figure, but of the order of $100 billions for radioactive waste management and disposal. Looking forward to watching the political masters weasel out of that one.

Agree. And the French subs are designed to be nuclear. So maybe they did look.

I heard they were a scaled down version of a nuclear sub. I did go to a talk by a submarine navy type put on by the nuclear sub branch of engineers Australia a few years ago. That included a discussion about relative sizes of submarines and the option of making the smallest nuclear boat with diesel/electric propulsion to allow for possible future upgrading.

But nuclear isn't a realistic option. Even managing our own waste is difficult, my stretch target is to take the world's waste (for a fee).

Only if you are Barracking for Obama!

Well, I don't think Obama is standing for office or has bought any Rolls Royce submarines (do RR make submarines?) or put in any sort of National Broadband network lately, but I'll go with the flow.

Why do customers think "purchased in good faith" is code for "I didn't bother to read the item description and now I'd like you to cancel my order"? That's not good faith, that's stupidity, and it costs me money

Anyone here studied psychology at university?

(That includes all those male engineers who needed an excuse to find an environment with a greater female : male student ratio)

Does PY101 back in my first year count?? :p

What is it with everyone changing their avatars?

And speaking of Avatars good to hear there'll be 3 Avatar sequels but not until 2018. James Cameron does everything at his own pace. Didn't think much of the film when it was first released but have seen it a few times since. Not an easy concept to understand but an interesting one.

But he did get the full season of Game of Thrones! Lucky B! Gaolers pet!

It is interesting to consider "exciting times" against that ancient chinese curse about living in interesting times.

What is the reason for return? It doesn't do something they wanted? Did you tell them it would do that something?
That's the only reason I can think for using good faith.

No return, they've cancelled once I've cut the order but not shipped. The item contains 20 pieces of fabric (and clearly states it) but they were hoping for 40. The price should've been a big clue. So for them 'good faith' means 'I didn't read the description'.

Doesn't sound anything like 'purchased in good faith' blackcat. Agreed that it is their fault they didn't read the description. Once fabric is cut the usual thing is that you have to buy it.
