Yes I understand. But I have a relative who was caught up in the London subway bombing - terrorism is not just about the country in which it occurs. It is about the evil people who do it.

I agree that this is part of it - the people who do evil. And many places are as dangerous to Australians. After all more Australians died in France than anywhere else abroad.

But there is also the place. For me Bali has no drawing power. London and Paris do. It might be that I dislike Bali because of where it is, who runs the show, and what has happened recently, but I have to say there is no time I can remember when it would have been on my list. We are all different, and that is how it should be.

But I absolutely agree with the view of those that say they have looked at the available information, and have decided not sample certain places in person. An entirely rational approach in my view.

Couldn't agree more, think the situation could be easily improved by putting large signs prior to security with their expectations

Does help. I find it quite frustrating especially when it happens in the 'fast lane', those people should know better! One thing I hate is when there's quite a line...... so you have plenty of time, then the person in front of you waits right until they reach the tray and spends another 1-2 minutes getting everything out. Oh don't get me started !!!

Wonder if a change of commissioner for the TURC is an opportunity to expand the terms of reference to include corruption in other private entities, like the LNP for example.

What is it about Victoria? All those office holders in private organisations stealing money. Definitely needs a nanny state government to [-]conduct a witch hunt[/-] get to the bottom of such a serious situation.

Great! it can go with my "I survived Great Kepple Island" T-shirt from the 70's

When I was at school, a bus load on children from another school had an accident coming back from senior camp. Pretty small town, everyone knew people on the bus. 8 children died. Someone I knew from swimming club, who was a senior at the school, had the poor taste to wear one of those T-shirts to school the next day, and got interviewed by TV news. Can't remember if he was on the bus that actually crashed.

Next government will probably launch a royal commission into private tertiary institutions and investigate how some hand out super secret scholarships.

Wow, the Saints and Cats played a draw in a match that the Cats should've won easily.

Well done Sainters for hanging in there.

The possibilities are endless. Hopefully, no future government, of any stripe, wastes taxpayer money on such frivolous RCs.

On stock picks, I'm looking to round out my bank collection. Considering taking up my CBA allocation - has anyone seen a price for those yet? Otherwise, looking for safety and dividends. But was interested to read that Radiation Oncology Australia might go to an IPO, or some sort of on market public offering.

Short BHP.

It's a diversified business, why so pessimist? Iron ore is not good. Olympic Dam must be near the bottom of their woes. They've dump nickel. How's the south america copper assists going.

Cba $71.50 a share per 23 shares held.....

The rights are supposed to be trading on market. I was wondering if anyone had seen a price for the rights. My broker who has my cba, didn't have my rights allocation in my account the other day. Bloombery App has no price for CBAN.

We're in. Not confident how good the deal is ... but we want to maintain our ratio.

If the price is right, I might sell off my allocation. But at the current margin of about $4, perhaps not.

I actually thought the Saints had the better of the play all game, it was only the better class of the Cats that kept them in it and almost snatched a win.

Probably best for our relationship that it was a draw....

Great game to watch, got quite tense towards the end. We almost had it!

The forward market was down 110 points when I last looked so that indicates a drop on Monday is coming.
CBA might go under the issue price as that has occurred with ANZ. We will see what happens over the next 2 weeks.
