I am guessing Brisbane will shut down again today.

One of the worst storms I have seen. The window in the 12th floor lunchroom felt like it was being torn away. The floor was moving. The building is shaking. Hmmm....

Doesn't do the hail stone size justice. They were half my fist - about the size of a small Orange. Lucky none of our windows broke

Minor flooding in our building (downstairs). Water up to the door step. Stormwater drain popped out and will be found somewhere along the street.

Good to see State Gov and BCC have been upgrading the storm water capacity handling... Always a problem when developers are allowed to build in declared flood zones.

Always tie down your plane, a lesson not heeded at Archerfield.

Fro those of you that know Fortitude Valley, the Il Centro Cinemas have some major renovation work to do - their roof collapsed during the storm (weight of hail sitting on the roof apparently)

Won't be for long. Already gone through Chermside and heading your way. Batten down the hatches

Nice storm... sunny up here.

Should be hitting you now amaroo

250 power lines down, Archerfield was hard hit along with Inala, then also Wellers Hill and inner south (Woolloongabba, City). Flooding in the city.

One building on Coronation Drive at High Street, Toowong has lost its roof.

The Judith Wright Arts Centre (just up from me at Brunswick Street) has lost every window.

Trains suspended and traffic snarled.

One hangar door on the runway trying to get clearance for take off

The lawn/garden/tank need it. Radar shows the intensity has dropped....still fine however, the southern sky looks interesting.

Still dry but now grey-

Many years ago I learnt the importance of having a spare "emergency" shirt / wardrobe, pre-ironed and hanging up in the office (or a hotel nearby). Today, I had to make use of that spare shirt.

I went to a charity morning tea, and ended up wearing a scone (complete with jam and whipped cream). It was pretty embarrassing, but I don't think too many people noticed before I made a strategic withdraw to change into my spare "emergency" shirt, before returning to carefully eat more scones.

For those wondering, the scones were excellent but strawberry jam doesn't look good on a light coloured shirt.

Red wine and red jam .. oh dear! ;)
