Schools badly hit (and ABC radio advising may be closed tomorrow):

Sommerville House
All Hallows
Gregory Terrace
Brisbane Grammar

Initially I had quite a different thought about what she was up to  :p

Have you read 50 Shades? :p ;)

I have one day full-on under the pump and it seems "everything happens". Brisbane gets thrown a few big buckets - including a bucket of ice - and a fine opening batsmen has to retire hurt forever.

RIP Hughes.

For all those in Brisbane, hope you're staying dry (or relatively dry) somewhere. Let's hope for not another 2011. Take care and don't attempt to drive or swim through flooded roads.

Sheesh... no mention of Brisbane State High?

Did we really p*** off all of our GPS/QGSSSA rivals to deserve this? :p

So just before it reached Caloundra the front turned north west.Anything east of Nambour looks likely to miss out.

So how does one get home with train services out?

I'll see how far I get walking with a sore foot.

On foot might be ambitious depending on how far away you are.

Road it might have to be unless too many streets have been cut off. So bus, taxi or Uber.

Otherwise, better be prepared to bunker down. What can you do?

Mrs Rugby is in Brissy visiting her Dad who is in St Andrew's Hospital and she said they had lots of broken windows and roof damage.

Walking was a must for anyone within 5kms of CBD - it would have been easier and probably quicker.

No reports of State High damage anat0l. But given Sommerville House is nearby, expect smashed windows at least.

The roof partially came off All Hallows' main building. School now finished for them, as tomorrow was the last day.

I arrived home 15 mins ago - took me 1hr and the last 20 mins was from entering M7 tunnel at Bowen Hills to home. It took 40 mins to go the first 3 kms

Stuff having a glass of wine - I'm finishing the bottle. Our bedroom windows were open and our bed is drenched - looks like it's a night on the futon

Not much we can do. But I can tell you now it won't be taxi and it definitely won't be Uber as money would have to come out of my pocket.

Waiting for bus but I think they have delays as well. Just missed one and they appear to be few and far between.

Gives water bed a whole new meaning

3 drops of rain for us.

Disappointing... the forecast for tomorrow has also been downgraded :( At least we're making money out of those solar panels... looking like generating around 11,000KW for the year :D

Looks like we are getting a $6,000 saving a year on an $18,000 home solar system. It is a tax free saving so I am happy with that.

Ratio is very similar - $4,500/$13,100 the $0.52 per KWH is one hell of a bonus.

It's only to toowong. Used to walk to Tarragindi in an hour or two.

Home safe but some people have very bad damage to houses and cars - took to the good guys undercover park at Oxley with many other drivers - the man driving this car was very badly shaken as the sign in the background took him out while driving up the road to seek shelter
