Hi Guys,

I have some status credits that are about to expire end of this month. If I was going to book some business or first class seats through KF points for a flight several months out, will that give me extra status credits / add onto my current status credits and let me move up a tier before my credits expire or does it only get affected if i actually purchase a seat and not use points?

And Once i move up a tier , it stays for 12 months or till my status credits expire which like i said some are due to expire end of this month.

I had another query, if I was to book a flight with points several months out but then turns out work wont approve my leave till closer to the date, am i able to refund the points or do i basically lose the booking / points?

When you use points to book a flight you don’t earn status credits or points.

If you cancel or make changes to a points booking you need to check the fees associated. Sometimes it’s cash or some programmes they’ll deduct points instead.
