I opened the free interest savings account to avoid the annual fee for first year (same as Westpac cards).
Can someone please confirm:
1. Set up Maxi saver/ interest savings account online or in branch?
2. Apply for card via tel or in branch
3. Get approved and pay no fee?
Is this correct? Thanks
I just applied, initially I went into a branch however the guy there said he couldn't guarantee i'd get the promotion. I called up later and mentioned the original promotion and how they pulled the first year free overnight. mentioned i called at the time and was told if i opened an account i could get the first year free as originally advertised when quoted code EB. guy asked supervisor and was all good.
Thanks for the very helpful reply. Everyday banking comes with $5/ month fees if you do not deposit some of your salary to the account.
What type of account did you set up? Thanks.
Just activated my card today! Looking forward to the 60k points.
