At least you can't recline into me with the premium economy seats!
On NZ aircraft?

Not quite the case on QF or VS. The recline is a joke if you are the one sitting behind but I am getting off topic again.

Colour me platinum for this :)

And then there were three. :)

And lots of interest from others as well.

I'm astonished that hotels are already tight in AKL for the Saturday night. Hilton and Sofitel both showing unavailable. Apparently there is a World Cup cricket match on in AKL on that date. People might need to get their skates on if they are interested!

I saw that with Hilton and the Pullman, and thought they just hadn't opened up the bookings for those dates.

Well spotted.

Interested, very interested, have emailed my contact at the hilton to see if they have any rooms available during the dates. Will likely be on QF8764 in on the 7th and QF8763 out on the 8th, both sectors in rev F.

Ouch. We shall need to get thinking then.

Hmmm..... With the news of hotels potentially becoming scarce, I might just have to book the flight sooner rather than later.

Agreed. Might have to jump on a decent fare if I find one.

Bugger! I fly out of AKL on the 4th. Otherwise I would have been Gold for this

re: AKL Dinner 7 March 2015 [1 Space Available]

I rang Sofitel. As a Le Club plat, they offered me NZD595 for no water view or NZD655 for water view for Sat 7 March. Both are flexi rates. No prepay rate available. This is only approximately double the usual price

Might book the flexi rate and then cancel if something better and cheaper comes up. Trouble is I just really like that hotel and I'm having trouble convincing myself that anywhere else would be as nice.
