Well, if I ever get that old then there's always a gadget called "driver's friend" which was originally intended for male drivers stuck in a traffick jam on a highway. It's a nice flask with a rubber hose attached to it.

why should being a WP make any difference?

it would mean the crew needing to remember your status, and the passengers in J certainly wouldn't have been briefed on your suitability... all they're going to see is an economy passenger in their lav.

Why should you feel hard done by to be asked to use the toilets in your own cabin because of having Platinum status? There is no relevent benefit of status that gives any rights in that regard via status

So yes, saw this occur today. One flight they had extra emphasis on the 2 at the back for the main cabin including 'the main cabin is the economy cabin' as an extra hint. On the other flight I can't remember it being mentioned but a male pax from row 5 passed me me only to be prompted turned back - I don't believe he had status fwiw.

He appeared to take a long time - like 10 minutes to return. I wasn't even thinking about it until I later noticed there was a queue of maybe 5 people right at the back.

Obviously not going to change anybody's opinions here but did seem an unusually long line for a domestic flight early in the flight. I'm just glad I can avoid it all.

I'm never had a problem travelling in Y and using the front lav on at 737. It's the only time I would as it is easier to get to than the one down the back if you are near the front.

Last weekend, I flew with my daughter to PER and back. on the return flight we were on a 737-800 and there was no issue with Y using the front toilet.

Never bothered walking that far forward in a 767 though!

On a QF flight today, the Flight Attendant doing the announcements before take off made special mention "for those passengers in Economy there are 2 Toilets for your use at the back of the aircraft".

Even worse, only 1 of the 2 economy toilets was working and the crew were not happy about economy passengers going into the J cabin to use that toilet.

I would be supportive of this if the raff earned their way by performing a "need to piss" dance to the J pax - to ensure they are worthy, of course, and for the amusement of the J cabin

Reminds me for an experience I had SYD-xSIN-FRA. Seems some of the J pax decided that it was a good idea to flush the nice cloth hand towels down the toilet. We got pretty close to DRW before the crew realised that a number of J toilets were disfunctional. The crew said the option was to put into DRW if anymore toilet got blocked and that the J pax would have to use the Y toilets. Ended up making into SIN. But not before the J pax (riff raff) blocked a couple of Y toilets not to mention made an absolute pigsty of the remain Y toilets

I'd say it is fair to keep each class pax to their own toilets. (no matter what )

You sure that was the J pax, and not disgruntled staff? There's been at least one report of a Qantas staff member flushing blankets (!) down the toilet in some kind of protest against something!!!!

Well the J toilets slowly got blocked first and then it moved backwards through the cabin in Y. It would have to be a senior staffer who wouldn't be questioned for moving around the various parts of the cabin. There were also some suggestion of cultural issues. And there was another toilet blocked shortly after we left SIN. I'm pretty confident to guess that the crew had changed for that leg, especially given the 6 hour delay in SIN.

It happened to me a few months back and I was gobsmacked. The toilet naz_ was polite and all but in the end, I was too humiliated for the looong walk to the back - I would have thought a sentence starting with 'next time..' would have sufficed given I had one foot in the door already.

I don't disagree with the policy - it's just the communication method which was unlike the usual Qantas excellence.
