Qantas Wine latest offering

I don't think the discount code will work if wanting to enter the competition. Need to enter the promotional code at checkout, the only option seems to be where the discount code is entered.

Yeah, maybe I should have been more explicit in saying I did not enter the competition ["I wouldn't be able to take the trip if I won anyway, dates don't suit."] and used the discount code instead. I was saying thankyou for the heads up on the special price being offered.

Plus, who wants to fly long haul in PE? Even if it's *free*! :p

Yeah, major dilemma. Do I want to spend $30 to enter a competition I won't win anyway?

But I could take the trip and it would work really well for my plans.

I had just realised I was down to my last dozen bottles of champagne last weekend. Great timing.

Now to decide if christmas will be all Taittinger or a side by side Moet, Taittinger, Billy Cart ;) (Brut and Brut Blanc de blanc), Louis Roederer, Veuve, Bolly, and Krug tasting session.

Any tips on tasting order? ;)

tasting order looks pretty good as is..maybe swap the bolly and the tatt

I got the normal Thursday email at 10am BNE time, subject "Don't miss out on a trip of a lifetime!"...but nothing in it for me. Here it is:

The St. Henry is good price but it got only 92 points, which is not surprising considering the vintage.

I'm a little surprised how much people rely on a rating by a wine critic to decide if they buy a wine or not. Not a criticism, just an observation :)

2011 was a known poor year, so the rating is probably deserved in this case...

Yes, nothing in it for me - I still have a nice collection under my desk at work. I don't drink Champagne. Not enough bonus points or offers that jump at me

It's $56.05 at DMs. I suppose it's how you value 10,000 points

Now that is a decent bonus, 10K on the Wirra Wirra RSW
Yeah ... but $65 per bottle! (Nearly $390 for a six-pack)

11,170 QFF points does not have that much allure for me.

That's 1,862 point per bottle - a minimum points value of $15 each, so a nett $50.
