Qantas Wine latest offering

Spend $1250 to get $300 worth of wine free.

We've put together our selection of wines and Mixed Cases to help stock your cellar this Festive season. Add your favourite wines to cart and spend $1,250 or more and receive a free Premium Mixed Pack[SUP]#[/SUP] valued at over $300 with your order.
In the Premium Mixed Pack you'll receive a bottle of Taittinger Brut Reserve NV (93 points Tyson Stelzer), SC Pannell Sauvignon Blanc 2013 (95 points James Halliday), Castle Rock Diletti Chardonnay 2011 (95 points James Halliday), Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2008 (96 points James Halliday), Wolf Blass Limited Edition Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 (Qantas epiQure exclusive) and a Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz 2012 (93 points Tyson Stelzer). It's a mixed pack you do not want to miss out on!

The Christmas special is certainly not as generous as last year's offer, and will not entice me to part with $1250! Only one French champagne, a handful of (arguably obscure) wines with a decent Halliday pointscore, an entry level Penfolds, and a 2011 Barossa red :(

The 2011 Barossa red is actually excellent. But the pack isn't actually worth spending the money if you weren't already going to.

I have bought a bit this year registering 2 of my kids to get the bonus points but for the last 6 months, very little has interested me. In my own name have bought nothing and now getting the free offers to renew my membership. Will probably not bother

Specials aren't great, wines seem to be getting younger and younger and this years xmas offer far inferior to last year.

Took Mrs Nick to Dan Murphy's a couple of weeks ago and with the choice they have she is telling me to only shop there going forward. Can't really disagree with her, other than the points, prices and range are far superior

Buy 6 wines retailing at $1250 at BWS..get 30% off means $375 saving..... (taken off the bill or buy more and get 30% off that as well)......hmmm better value.

totally agree. last year's offer so much better

Sigh, gone are the days when one could pick up a 6 pack of Torbreck Woodcutters for $90, or Balnaves the Tally for $300. While veering somewhat off topic (but in order to illustrate that there is currently better value to be had on wine outside of Epiqure), Woolworths currently has 30% off wine when you purchase 6 bottles or more, and you can order online with free delivery and up to a total of a further 20% off (10% off as a new member, and use code EZIBUY14 for an extra $15 off an order of $150 or more). Some good offerings - Penfolds Bin 389 / 407 (not sure of the vintages) comes down to < $50. D'Arenberg D'Arry's Shiraz Grenache down to <$13... And not to forget Dan Murphy's daily deals (Pepperjack $14.30 when purchasing 6 or more wines today).

For Christmas there's a good deal on Taittinger, cheaper than Dan's and also gets you into a draw to win a trip for two to Champagne. It's caused me to make my first purchase in over a year, however I seem to have received 1 point per $ instead of 3, has points earning changed?

No, it's supposed to be 3 points per $ must be a mistake.
Good price for the Taittinger. I'm not really needing any more just now as I found an unopened case when having a clear out a few weeks ago. Also picked up a couple of bottles of Krug when Dan Murphy's had the special on.

Going to be a bubbly Christmas at Chez Shrek :D

I had just realised I was down to my last dozen bottles of champagne last weekend. Great timing.

Now to decide if christmas will be all Taittinger or a side by side Moet, Taittinger, Billy Cart ;) (Brut and Brut Blanc de blanc), Louis Roederer, Veuve, Bolly, and Krug tasting session.

Any tips on tasting order? ;)

I'm down to my last few bottles of taittinger but unfortunately no room in the budget this week...

Thanks for the heads up, I got it at 10% off (go back a few pages to see the promo code I posted), so six for $259.15. That's ~$43.19 each and 778 points on top of cc earn. I wouldn't be able to take the trip if I won anyway, dates don't suit.

DMs have it at $49.85 each so even with SH/Wish, it is not only more expensive at ~$45.29 each and you don't get the 778 points from Epiqure.

I know earlier in the year you could have had it at ~$40 per bottle but I didn't *need* them at the time. Such is life.

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about that, hope you are feeling much better (orally) by now - back to work next week? :( BTW, loved your trip report.
Unfortunatley yes. The trip report isn't quite finished but the wifi isn't playing nice tonight.

I don't think the discount code will work if wanting to enter the competition. Need to enter the promotional code at checkout, the only option seems to be where the discount code is entered.
