Qantas First Lounge Spa

Odd question but do they use lotions and oils on your body while providing a massage? If so do you shower afterwards to wash it all off?

Flying AA F out of SYD (11.30 departure).

Asked about spa access at 7am when I arrived

"sorry sir, there's a JNB flight and the spa is fully booked".

JNB leaves at 9.30am ... what about after?! 😫

They hold spots for the Jnb flight F passengers...if they are not snapped up by the F passengers, then the plebs get a chance ;)

My limited experience with the SYD Flounge as a World Platinum was that it was always highly unlikely you'd get a spa spot on a walk up basis. However, at the MEL Flounge I have been proactively been offered a spa spot. This to me is one of the many reasons why the MEL Flounge is infinitely better than the SYD Flounge.

Gosh the difference would be even more stark now too - there’s at most only 2-3x weekly 380s out of Melbourne vs at least 2 or 3 daily pre covid (sin / dxb-lhr, lax). Syd now has the overwhelming bulk of the 380 departures (still only 4 daily tho)
