QANTAS Cyber Incident

I guess they can also spoof their calling ph # to come from 13**13, and of course, some phones will onfollow from previous 13**13 if you have had calls from that one in the past.
At least EML uses 44 as they are based in the UK, and the QPay (debit) side will send 2fa 6 digit sms from there.

I received an email on the weekend purporting to be from Qantas asking for a profile conformation. The email came in on the email address I used prior to the QFF hack. So very suspicious and it was asking for updates to protect my card details. The origin email address also looked very suspicious .

This is the heading for the suspect email-Quick Profile Confirmation Needed
Asking for personal details to be sent to an attached email address is a sure clue that it's a scam.

It's easy and cheap to send a million emails. When someone responds there's time and effort to expend. As a scammer, you want people that are more likely to go through with the scam.
I’m still surprised by the number of phone calls from “Telstra” telling me that the NBN is going to be disconnected… If I’m bored, I give them a head wobbling good time drawing them out. Most them time I can’t be bothered…it’s just annoying in the end.
