Was in the lounge for 4 hours but the guy told me to wait until boarding…then I went back before boarding he said to check at the gate. I always get the same guy…feel like he just fobs me off. Do the lounge staff have any control over upgrades?Too late for the lounge already?

I figure, if I haven't got the upgrade 24 hours before check-in opens, it's a write-off ... No control. And I don’t think gate staff do either?
