Qantas Business Class meals & menus

QF1969 NTL to ADL 11/03 - on an Alliance E190. Pictured is a deconstructed salmon bagel - other option was a cheese crumpet.
Would not recommend and not really fitting for an 1105 flight in business.

They do a rotation from 3 - Jacquart, Duval Leroy and Lombard. What you get on your flights might differ from others. For me, I like the first two; not so sure about Lombard but hey, it's free. No arm twisting required at all.
The Duval Leroy tends to be my favourite of the three and has been around for ages, as has been the Jacquart which is a bit more average in my opinion. The Lombard only joined maybe a year ago and I agree, is the weakest of them all.

But they’re all proper French champagne and as long as that stays this way, I ain’t complaining.

Yes if wanting to maximise fare value on domestic/short haul best to book flight times that fall into the pre-defined Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner departure windows. If you depart during a snack period i.e late morning, mid-late arvo or post 7pm you are only going to get lighter meal (or snacks if in whY).

That does make sense however on our following flight QF889 which left ADL at 1520 we had a full meal service - I was expecting a pie or a cheese plate on this flight. Consistently inconsistent it seems 😂

Yes please!
Oh please not this awful BA-style nonsense! I wouldn’t like scones and clotted cream at the best of times and certainly not when I’m paying for J.

Gimme my meal and make cheap desert options exactly what they should be- optional.

But you won't get scones at meal times. Just like Qantas doesn't serve meals at non meal times. 🤷‍♀️

Scones and 4 vodka’s on a 1hr flight in the afternoon tea of pure heaven ❤️

I got that for 3pm flight on BA. With a strong cup of tea and a G&T. Actual clotted cream. With petite sandwiches as well. Brits do afternoon tea well.
I got that flying from Milan to LHR. The strong accented young FA asked me if I wanted a scone (pronounced with the long o). The lovely Italian businessman next to me said no thank you and when mine arrived he said oh scones (with the short o as we pronounce it) yes I will have some please

Domestic flights over 3.5 hours plus ADL-PER (I assume as it’s classed as a “transcon.”) have a full meal except on red-eye departures. On those flights lunch is served from 0900.

Query for @milehighclub if OK. I was on an QantasLink E190 flight today. 1A served meal, and a bit of a chat. Then drink for 1D, back to 1A. Then meal for 2E.

Then back to 1A and some issue. A discussion, than FA goes to the galley and pulls out ?ipad. Then 7-10 mins tapping on iPad (a LOT of tapping!), goes to 1A & shows, then some ?amendments made. I assume documenting some complaint. Maybe 12-15 mins all up, while meal service paused.

I didn't see any replacement meal put down to 1A, but may have been.

Question: Is it 'protocol' to interrupt meal service to document a complaint (again, I assume)? As opposed to finishing the first meal round & going back to the issue.
