Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Some recent TT meals
Got a menu on outbound. I don’t do TT often but haven’t noticed in the past and didn’t get one on the return.
I was on the last flight back to SYD so got to see when EK bought out the food and drink for their departure at 9pm. Im a big EK fan and it was really high quality food. I have pics but limited but would recommend.

Four main options huh? ;)

Love to hear people's experiences with domestic business class breakfast meals on Qantas - I had this meal flying Brisbane to Melbourne last week and it was described as fried eggs with bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms (which was fine). I don't usually fly this route very often and wondering whether anyone here has had this meal often and are the eggs usually this cooked/hard?

I know eggs are difficult to get right sometimes on a plane but for me I felt they were a little overcooked and just wondered whether I had gotten a once off misstep or if the eggs for this dish are usually this cooked? I appreciate everyone likes foods cooked differently and so was just curious whether this dish was one lots of people liked?

That seems within the range of ‘normal’ to me! Whether it be airline eggs, or something I’d get in an egg McMuffin at Maccas. If it’s being market3d as a ‘fried egg’ rather than ‘egg benedict’ then I’d be expecting something like the picture 😳

Just for interest sake this was the “same,” (fried eggs with bacon tomatoes and mushrooms) as your meal but catered out of ADL to ASP. Probably just depends where it’s made and how they choose to prepare the dish.

I wonder why this menu is presented on nicer paper / looks better than QF international business menus. 🤔

Now that was more what I was imagining! I think it was just the shape of the eggs that was my source of disappointment since they were described as 'fried' and then they were just dry lumps

Who knows…I tried to upload the accompanying pic but took too long from where I was having dinner in BNE yesterday

Did BNE MEL this evening and posting from somewhere with better signal. Quite enjoyed the beef on today’s dinner service operated by QFlink - never had any issues on QFlink A220 services despite others who seem to think QFlink catering differs

Literally had the same meal the other day, was fairly decent.

QF1273 (QantasLink) BNE-MEL dep 1655 (sched, ATD was about 30 min late) op National Jet a/c 222

Choices were between beef salad or glazed chicken. I opted for the chicken, which ended up being some sort of soy and ginger sweet glaze which tasted a lot like my mum's three cup chicken. The chicken was served with white rice, a few edamame beans and Japanese pickled radish slices. Also on the tray were a passionfruit and pineapple polenta cake, a slice of warmed multigrain sourdough bread and Pepe Saya butter.

Interestingly , I was in 3F and still had two choices. There was a captain in 1D (or 2D, whatever the first row right side row number is) who might have been served last, but everyone else in the full J cabin definitely took a meal.

The chicken was delicious, if maybe a bit salty (but that's mainly just me). The sauce was very heavy in ginger; it wasn't spicy and I don't mind at all, but some may have, especially if you're not partial or used to eating ginger. Cake was pleasant as cakes go, with the cake itself not being dry and pieces of pineapple and coconut shreds embedded within the cake.

I had a glass of Riesling to go with the meal, which was fine - very drinkable and approachable wine. The red choice was a Shiraz. Followed the wine up after trays were collected with a Coke No Sugar, then a white coffee.

CSM Sarah very aptly served the J cabin with a pleasant attitude. She went around relatively regularly to check on pax and offer further drinks or refills.
