I know it has been a while since Qantas and AA announced an expanded network/shared benefits partnership, so apologies in advance if I'm a little rusty.
I'm flying QF/AA MEL-LAX, LAX-BOS(AA), JFK-LAX(AA), and LAX-MEL. I'm a Gold Qantas FF with a few points to spare and I need to book a domestic flight inside the US from either PVD,BOS,JFK or LGA to Buffalo. There are award flights available for my dates but all flights from all destinations leave at 5:30am, which is just not practical at all for me. Can one book a US domestic flight with AA without points, or is it points only?
Also, if I book with AA directly, do I receive Qantas Points/Status Credits?
Cheers.
