I doubt it will happen as I think Boland is the consummate cricketer, but I would like him to give the selectors an "up yours" and go and play county cricket, which he would excel at and be paid very handsomely, imo.

But they blew out the fourth innings advantage of use of the spinner Lyon and bowled first having dropped a medium ish pacer in Boland. Completely nonsensical. Maybe coughmins forgot he'd dropped Boland and had brought Lyons back.

Sadly, that's easier said than done these days, especially if head doesn't get amongst them.

Not dropping Marnus, despite every conceivable measure suggesting it is the only thing to do, is consistent with policy for senior players. He should announce that the SYD test of the 27/28 summer will be his last and lock in the lap-of-honour he apparently deserves. It'll make more sense then when they bring back Maddinson.
