you won't get any bonus poionts but you will get free beer / wine.

Crown Plaza Darling Harbour and Holiday Inn Old Sydney Town both have free drinks for platinum members.

They don't actually check to see what your membership status is so anybody could just turn up in theory.

Crown Plaza Darling Harbour - Tuesday nights from 6 - 7pm
Holiday Inn Old Sydney Town - Wednesday nights from 6 - 7 pm

I'm sure others in the chain have this too so will report back if I see them in Bangok or Auckland over the coming weeks.

I'll have a go at these ones. My only PC hotel stay is one night in London HIX this year but I guess every little bit helps! Thanks for the codes, Dan!

I'm not sure if you guys noticed this but if you are buying flowers, it is better to use the link through the USA promotions-25 points per USD rather than the Asia Pacific one-20 points per USD. Mother's Day is Sunday!

Update: Out of all the bonuses I registered for this is what I ended up with:

Normal points 1297
Gold bonus 129
New member bonus 1500

for one night in London HIX Hammersmith. The location is great if you are using Heathrow, right on the Picadilly line but the service was terrible. First room they gave us, the toilet didn't work, we didn't want to wait for another room so came back well after midnight and it still wasn't ready! They had some kind of conference and the hotel was booked out. I had booked several months in advance though.

Tiki, if you are saying they were unable to give you a functioning room until after midnight, you should certainly be seeking redress via the hotel and Priority Club. Maybe you already have?

Excellent, I'll just have to book in on a Tuesday for my next couple of SYD trips. Thanks for the heads-up

Holiday Inn on Spencer hosts one as well - I think it was a Wednesday night. One US-based PC member and AA base member was certainly happy he met me and serfty that night - he's now Platinum in both :)

The room was functioning after midnight, but we had to wait for them to make up a second bed. I asked for either a king or two doubles, the room had one double. It's crossed my mind but I don't want PC to look too closely at the new member bonus I got. They had charged my credit card within a week after making the booking so I couldn't negotiate a discount and we checked out pretty early in the morning for a flight and the night manager said he couldn't do anything else than the free drink he gave us.

I snagged a few extra mini-cereal boxes from the breakfast bar and stuffed a few rolls in my bag.

Have tried to register for Code 6127 10k stay x night bonus and get the message

" We are sorry, the Priority Club Member is not eligible for this promotion. Please contact your nearest Priority Club Rewards Service Center for assistance."

I have only just signed up, and have registered succesfully for a number of other bonuses. Does "Pre-register" mean before you stay or after you have booked? I haven't booked yet but will be staying in a CP in September.

The strict answer is that the stay x promotions are targeted and the only person entitled to register is the person who in receipt of the email inviting them. Of course, that was the strict answer.

What did you say in response to the question about where you had heard of the promotion ? As well, if you've registered for another of this type of promotion in the same application period you'll generally be excluded. If that doesn't apply you could try again saying that you'd been notified by email. If that fails, try booking the higher level ones stay y, stay z etc and if that doesn't work you are pretty much sunk!

Pre-registration means prior to the stay. It can even mean after the stay but in the couple of days prior to points posting. Safe order is register, book, stay. I've even gone so far as to cancel and rebook after registering.

Finally, do not contact the Service Center as you were not entitled to register in the first place and that can prompt an audit of your account. I appreciate that in your case your account is going to be near empty but you may find other promotions you have registered for are cancelled.

Good luck ;)

I think they should have a promo that guarantees the points will post without having to follow up.

Number of stays in Australia this year where points have posted without a points claim: 0

(at least my stay in KL did happen without prompting!)

Hmm, number out of 26 stays where I have had to follow up this year - 1. Different experience for some reason.

The reason you are unable to sign up for the stay 5 get 10k is definatly because you have already registered for one of the following:

Promo Code: 8 nights - 1135
Promo Code: 10 nights - 2006
Promo Code: 12 nights - 2214
Promo Code: 15 nights - 8206
Promo Code: 18 nights - 9873

These promotions cannot be commbined. You can find out which one you are registered for by entering them. The one that says you are already registered for is the one that you are prety much stuck with. Do not call the PC hotlilne as they know whether or not you recieved the e-mail, and will even ask you to forward them the e-mail if you are insistant on registering for a promotion that you are unable to register for online.

No, didn't register for any of those. Acording to the order of the confirmation emails I received:

1- Welcome to Priority Club Rewards
2- Promotion: NEW MEMBER BONUS
3- Promotion: NEW MEMBER BONUS
4- Promotion: STAY 5, GET 2,000 MILES
5- Promotion: FAST TRACK TO GOLD
6- Promotion: Q4 TRIPLE POINTS/MILES 2007

From memory, I initially tried to register for Code 6127 between either 4 & 5 or 5 & 6.

It was the STAY 5, GET 2,000 MILES that got you (There was also a STAY 5 GET 2 CREDITS promotion for Southwest that would have conflicted). Next time, enter the promotion codes in the order you would like to have them post. That way if they conflict, you will have chosen the one you would rather have.

I have noticed that nearly all MILE promotions have an associated POINTS promotion. You cannot register for both, so if you see a MILE promotion and you would rather have the POINTS, I would hold out/look for the POINT promotion prior to registering for the MILE promotion.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Forgive me, I am only new to the hotel loyalty thing.

So the Promotion: STAY 5, GET 2,000 MILES means I will get 2,000 FF miles to credit to the FF account of my choice next time I stay 5 nights? As opposed to earning bonus PC points if I had registered for 6127?
