Wunala Dreaming said:simongr, I was talking to the server administrator where I host the QFlyer pages and apparently there was an issue with some hosted websites last year being compromised due to some badly written PHP pages. As a result, he informs me that several "phishing" sites managed to land on the same box as QFlyer is hosted. Apparently all sites have been removed and there is no longer any risk of phishing sites reappearing. You'll need to contact the administrator of your web proxy and have them add an exception in, as well as notifying the people that manufacture the filter software to ensure it is removed as a possible phishing site. There are no phishing sites anywhere on icns.com.au.
Cheers
QF is charging exhorbintant premium economy airfares from 01/04/08. These airfares have been on sale for a few months already.kiwitripper64 said:I would consider moving dates to chance Y+, but would need to know if QF still settling into Y+ programme or charging for seats at this time.
thanks
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
The Y+ cabin will only be 4-5 rows as it has been mentioned that it will be between 32-40 premium economy seats in a 2-4-2 configuration.aussiejohn said:There is not a single photo anywhere showing the cabin, how far apart the seats are and just how much leg room you will really get. Yesterday's glossy advertising brochure in the Age Melbourne magazine emphasised food, baggage, entertainment etc. and pretty pictures but no facts on actual space and legroom. Interesting!
Qantas advertising for their Y+ product indicates the catering is different to that provided in economy.JohnK said:The food is the same as WHY and the service in this mini cabin is mediocre at best but mainly poor.
The pictures in the ads certainly show much better than cattle class catering. Then again we all know about advertising spin.NM said:Qantas advertising for their Y+ product indicates the catering is different to that provided in economy.

On this basis I would suggest it will be better than BA PE. Hence the price.

Flying Fox said:Personally I think most seat advertising is like this. I would say that the majority of seat photos are of a single row of seats with super happy people relaxing or enjoying the service.
I think that its a product of -
1. Airlines trying to maximise their ROI by showing you their product in the best possible way
2. Maximising the best photographic angles & lighting etc
Well being a photography buff, seeing the hotel room photos and comparing the actual thing - the only way they could be the same thing (in some cases) would be to stand on a ladder in the corner of a room with a wide angle lense and then straighten out the image with Photoshop (should it be required).oz_mark said:I hope hotels don't catch on to the practice of showing pictures of rooms taken with the best lighting etc. I would hate to think that the pictures of the rooms looked better than the actual thing![]()
