Y

I really think many travelers care about what other pax may think of them. I can only give my own observations, but almost every time I see pax strutting around in PJ's it generates in me a reaction probably the opposite of what they think it will generate - as a very frequent flyer, it reveals to me that they are actually not big fish in the FF pond. It reveals to me that they care about the opinions of others.

Wow. So someone who is flying in business class changes into the PJs so that they can prance around pretending their better than all the other people who are ALSO in business class and who also have the same PJs? Nothing to do with the hazards of sweating up the nether regions, nothing to do with pants cutting off blood flow, all about your imagined ego in front of people who are in exactly the same boat?

That's a special logic and world view. Thanks for sharing.

I am over changing in a wet cupboard and baulk at boarding and disembarking in pj's, so fly dressed and arrive crumpled…..

I was thinking similar. Wandering into Y with a glass of champers and photos of your flat seat maybe but showing off to people that have the same seat, same pjs and same menu - how.

Although I do have my own $50 silk mask - wonder if anyone notices my $50 silk mask, do I need to twirl it around my finger occasionally to bring it to their attention? Maybe I need a robe to match.

Well, I’m pretty happy with my Survivor buff I wear on flights as I hate the elastic of the sleep mask over my ears.

I have been know to change under a blanket if all the lights are off (you just have to be quick)

Phew. I’m glad to hear this. I haven’t quite been brave enough but you’ve given me courage!

I despise the wearing of airline PJs.

They result in elongated queues for the toilet which prevents me using them for their proper purpose. Something I need to do with more regularity than usual as a result of my using premium travel perks for their proper purpose - the consumption of copious amounts of booze ;).

Maybe the long toilet queue has more to do with the consumption of copious amounts of booze than the PJ’s

Isn't the purpose of airline PJs not to wear them during a flight, but at a supermarket while doing your shopping?

Vic, you are welcome. But you seem to have missed an all important word in my post - it referred to those "strutting".

The majority in the J cabin change swiftly, settle in for rest, etc. They are not who I am referring to. It is those (usually in PE, but sometimes in Y), who seem to make a great point in walking around for ages in every single direction.

As long as it is your blanket, I see nothing wrong with this :)

When travelling economy or premium I tend to get organised in the lounge and go to very comfy flight clothes .
This is in no way criticism of your post but I'm not very bright on the sunniest of days.

I wear singlet, business/casual shirt, jacket, long business pants, socks and shoes and I'm quite comfortable to the point where I'm content.

What is more comfortable than already comfortable? T-shirt, shorts/tracky dacks and thongs? No thanks. Not this lifetime. I have more important things that need my focus.
