It’s a common problem… been discussed several times previously in this thread.Getting no where on multiple phone calls. HELP. repeatedly told the same thing from Fiji call centre now. Can't get onto Hobart.
Thanks. I have. Am on X now hoping thay can help. Calling mulitple times has not yielded Hobart, yet. It’s a common problem… been discussed several times previously in this thread.
I don’t think there’s been any real solution… however asking for a supervisor might help… I’m just out on the road now but read back a few pages in this thread to see the issue discussed in a bit more detail.
The term has recently been, "Team Coach".however asking for a supervisor might help…
@MEL_Traveller ...thats what scaring me. Also I want to change some flight, so now wondering if I call them will they realise it and ask me update the itenary.
Potentially a problem.I called the call center last night to add 1 flight and remove 1 flight. They said the booking is updated and will take 24 hrs to be reflected or ticketed. It's been 10 hrs now and I see the change requested but some how 3 other flights which I didn't request the change are not there in the itenary any more.
Is the system still processing it or what's happening.... I'm very stressed now....in the waiting queue with call center now... Please help

Slight complication is that the OP has well and truly exceeded the MPM for the awarddrop an email with all details to [email protected]
Not now the flights have disappeared lol...Slight complication is that the OP has well and truly exceeded the MPM for the award![]()
That's great.... So back to origin miles rule is not implemented very strictly I believe. As far as you are under 35k they are OK.....Thanks for posting about the miles on your ticket, I managed to do it as well.
I don't think you'll have any issues calling to make changes, I did that today.
I booked online:
BKK-BUD (BKK-HEL, HEL-BUD)
PRG-NRT (PRG-HEL, HEL-NRT)
HND-HKG (premium economy)
HKG-SYD
SYD-DEL (SYD-KUL, KUL-DEL)
DEL-SYD (DEL-KUL, KUL-SIN, SIN-SYD)
This comes to 35,900 miles if you include the return to BKK at the end but it let me book online and it was ticketed.
I then called up to change the date of the HND-HKG sector because the website wouldn't let me book the ticket if I had that flight on the same date as HKG-SYD and they did the change for me.
They could only do that sector in premium economy even though they and I could see business available but apparently when they tried to add it into the ticket it would disappear. Maybe something to do with me already booking that sector in premium? Who knows. I'll take what I can get.
Thanks everyone else for your tips and suggestions. Looking forward to my flights!

Do you have an itinerary that shows a new ticket number starting in 081xx_xx_xx_x?As soon as I hung up the call.....my missing flights are already there..... Happy Days...
I did not get the new ticket, but for the flights I could see it in the partner airline and can also select the seats in business class.Do you have an itinerary that shows a new ticket number starting in 081xx_xx_xx_x?
If not, then you’re still in the twilight zone…
@WanderBug did you get the new ticket with the new ticket number... If not how long does it take to take the new ticket after the change is doneThanks for posting about the miles on your ticket, I managed to do it as well.

Ticketing should be pretty quick. If they’re waiting for Cathay to confirm the seats, it could take 24-48 hours to get that confirmation, then they’d ticket.@WanderBug did you get the new ticket with the new ticket number... I just did and they said it's in ticketing teams queue and she could confirm the itenary on call. Also she said that they will expedite the ticketing and I should get it in next 2 hours.Ticketing should be pretty quick. Cathay auto cancels very quickly, so the ticketing needs to be be done as soon as possible.
If you are sure the flights added back in are confirmed, rather than pending approval, call qantas back and ask them to ticket.

@MEL_Traveller , I just saw the itinerary the status for 2 flights for cathay is showing Requested . I hope it gets confirmed. Calling them again now As I did not receive the tickets yet.Ticketing should be pretty quick. If it’s ‘requested’ it can’t be ticketed. Qantas will have to wait for cathay to respond. I believe it’s fairly common to have the seats reinstated. The only time there may be problems is if the flight is very full and there’s a waitlist of CX members for the flight… in those cases the seats you had might have gone to them as they’re on the waitlist.@MEL_Traveller , I just saw the itinerary the status for 2 flights for cathay is showing Requested . Is this normal procedure and does CX allot the seat back ? Just asking what your experiencesays
