Is it an option just to cancel the whole thing and start again?

The original booking was China to Australia, but you completely changed that to SYD-CGK, etc? Or is the china sector still in there?

Was the change to keep it under the old award chart, rather than just starting again?

It looks like these are economy seats, why not just start again?

Yes correct. I'm keeping it under the old chart, so rebooking is not an option right now. and they are business tickets.

I've done a couple of OWA in the past and they have always refunded taxes correctly. Changing the departure city does complicate things but it should still be recalculated and manually adjusted to pay or refund taxes.
