I am hoping someone can help - I keep getting this error message:

• Up to DATA(LIMIT) flight interruptions (ground transportation between one arriving city and the next departing city) can be defined in your itinerary. Please modify and resubmit your request.(#7122)

My itinerary is as follows

1. MEL - LAX 20 Apr 19
2. JFK - KEF 1 May 19
3. ARN - AMM 10 May 19
4. AMM - ATH 16 May 19
5. CDG - DOH 19 Jun 19
6. DOH - MEL 21 Jun 19

Any ideas what I did wrong? I have mapped out every surface and it is still below 35K miles

I've tried a few ways and can't get it to work. If I add everything but JFK - KEF it works. But then I can get the legs from MEL - ATH working but as soon as I put in CDG it doesn't work.

Best bet is to call and get them to waive the booking fee.

I have no where in particular to "go", so chasing inspiration ... what are some of the best value places you can get to on these tickets? Obviously it's easy to get to LHR a dozen or more ways, I guess I'm looking at places off the usual lines which would cost too much to pay $$ for.

Have a look at the wiki above and work out what airlines have low fuel surcharges (Cathay, LATAM, JAL, AA) to save extra money. South America, Central America, Caribbeans are all excellent value.

It's when you search for it before selecting flights. So it's causing the error from the general search

I've noticed that Cathay have no availability in or out of Australia after the 18th of June 2019. Been keeping on it the last couple of days in case they have changed the release dates but still none showing after the 18th.

Anyone got any idea why? Usually Cathay is 360 days out.

In the recent CX award changes did they change the dates at which seats are released for different types of bookings, with only their most expensive awards available the furthest outs (equivalent of ASAs?)

I don't think so, the day they came back online we were able to book 360 days in advance for the first legs of our 280k award tickets

Been having a play around and seems that you can book a Thru fare (eg Perth - Tokyo - transiting in Hong Kong) there is availability for all legs. Yet if you just search Perth - Hong Kong there is no availability.

And that may explain ours as we booked PER-HKG-NRT

Yep, AA premium seats are not currently showing on QF or BA websites. You'll need to call to confirm availability and hopefully get a helpful agent.

Hi everyone,

Is the Great Circle Mapper (Great Circle Mapper) site 100% accurate in regards to what QFF and other airlines use to calculate distances?

I've finalised a 280K award today but notice on the GCM that it is just over 35K. Qantas completed the booking though not ticketed at this point so am a bit worried

IATA publishes the mileages and these can be checked in the GDS. The GDS mileage is what matters.

Just call QF and ask for the mileage.

Can anyone with status see any AA Business class on any routes next year?

I am only a mere Bronze, and can see Business class availability with BA, JL, CX, Finnair etc, however every flight that involves an AA flight, is economy only.

Is it purely me being a bronze level, or is AA notorious at not giving Qantas any Business class seats? Or is it that Qantas only want redemptions with the high fuel surcharge airlines?

Also, I am looking at USA to Europe flights (I understand across the pacific is near impossible)

You will have to call qantas for any AA flights. Availability is not showing on the website.

Plenty of availability from New York to either Madrid or London. Pretty much only 2 days in first half of the year in 2019 that has no availability. Could be different if your looking at flying out from somewhere else.
