Yes, those QF WP/SG and business PAX on EK metal are the only others who can access the EK lounge.

In fact they have no other choice than the EK lounge:

Note: in London Heathrow T3,
(i) Customers travelling on Emirates operated Flights, may only access the Emirates Lounge (including any Eligible Guests); and
(ii) Customers travelling on Qantas operated Flights, may only access the British Airways lounge (including any Eligible Guests),
(iii) Qantas Club Members in Economy or Premium Economy (including any Eligible Guests) may only access the Cathay Pacific Lounge, regardless of whether they are travelling on Emirates Flights or Qantas Flights.

Anybody heard any further rumours about the opening date of the QF lounge

Anybody heard any further rumours about the opening date of the QF lounge

There were more job ads in October, this time for pre-opening staff who were required to be available to start at the beginning of November.

But when I was checking in there a couple of weeks ago and enquired if it would be opening soon, the check-in agent gave me a look of complete disbelief and said, "But it's still under construction. Maybe next year." It was the sort of look you have when your partner is "fixing" the plumbing, with all the parts laid on the floor, and there is no end in sight. I tried to peek in, but it was all boarded up.

But I'm happy to be proven wrong. :)

I'll be there again on Monday and will ask again.

I'm currently in the AA IFL (AKA Flagship); QF check in was not open at 4pm (I OLCI'd with no bags to check so bypassed that). SO no-one to ask.

Still white hoardings where the lounge is being built.

We are on the 0900 to Dubai.. so a bit before you. But if you want tome early then no problem
I’m on a QF flight on the 15th so we can commiserate together in the CX lounge

What time is your flight - I’d much prefer to be in the Emirates lounge if you are able to guest me in - please and thank you

Not specifically, but CX have two HKG flights departing close to one another and @Mal gave me a heads up it's best to go after the second one (6pm) commenced boarding.

In comparison, the AA facility was an oasis of calm, with Moet to assist.

I have been in the CX lounge for the last two hours.

It sounds like QF is trying to discourage WPs from accessing the CX First lounge.

The anticipation & wait for this Lounge to open has left it with almost no chance of living up to expectation!
When I last travelled to Australia back in January I was disappointed to have ‘just’ missed the proposed opening.
I’m next travelling to Melbourne in 2 weeks & it looks like I still won’t get the pleasure. Thankfully with Platinum status I am more than happy to hang out in the Cathay Pacific Lounge, but I’m starting to think the whole thing is a wind-up!

So it's unlikely to open for this weekend?

I guess I'm using the AA and/or CX lounge then. (I'm bored of the BA lounge)

Given that there has been radio silence from Qantas on the matter I don’t see it opening much before Christmas at this rate.
I haven’t set foot in the BA Lounge in T3 for a good while now, Cathay & Emirates are far better options if you have access.

QF Platinum QF2 J.
Only EK lounges I've been in are DXB concourse A F and SIN J.
