New Layout (bugs)

Thanks for the info, appreciated. I'll get in touch with the tapatalk dev's via Apple and see if I can get a refund given the circumstances. In the meantime, it would still be advisable for you remove the message about tapatalk that appears when viewing the site on the iPhone - it was a bit misleading.
I basically did the same thing as you, purchased tapatalk to use with AFF based on some comments and the pop up thing. Having done that and with the disablement I really didn't see any point in asking a refund on the app. It is only four bucks, it'd cost me more than that in my time on hold to try getting a refund. Plus i figured i might be able to use it for other forums.

Now it is working again, no matter how temporary, i'd say take advantage.

From memory I think i had to type in the AFF url to Tapatalk to find the forum. Or maybe I searched for Australia or Australian.

For all those that have been asking about AFF on Tapatalk, good news....

Our own customised version of Tapatalk has just been approved by Apple. It is available as a free download from HERE. (No need to purchase anything - other than an iPhone!)

Anyone can view AFF from the application. Our GOLD and SILVER members can login to AFF via the application, and then post, send PMs etc etc.

If you are not a paid member, now is a great time to trial the superior ad-free experience. The new 30 day trial costs just $5. Sign up HERE.

I notice the layout was stretched a little today, and for a while I had a horizontal scroll bar across the bottom no matter how wide my browser window was. Good to see it’s fixed now, though it’s definitely a different look.

I do not see any difference from yesterday to today.

Something's gone wrong with the sidebar section New Community Posts.
It's no longer showing the date and time of posts correct for members timezone settings.

At the time of making this post, it's 5:10am here in Brisbane.
The current topmost post showing in the sidebar under New Community Posts is from the [thread=23682]Free Giant Toberlone[/thread] thread
Even better :)
With a time and date showing in New Community Posts as being Today 07:27 PM
In the thread, the time and date showing for the post is correct for my timezone settings, Today 02:27 AM.

For 2 weeks the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of my browser on the discussion board has always been visible, no matter how wide I stretch my browser. It’s purely a cosmetic issue I guess, but annoying!

I have the horizontal scrollbar on the AFF Discussion Board page on both Firefox 3.5.8, and Safari for Windows 4.0.5(531.22.7).
Windows version: Windows 7 Home Premium
Screen res: 1920x1200

On my mac I am using Safari 5 (6533.16) with 1280x800 resolution and it’s showing no matter how wide my browser is.

I'm pretty sure my other laptop (ie the one I'm not using now ;) ) is 1280x <something> and still has the "wide bar" issue.

Haven't used it in about a week though, as it doesn't like my USB broadband dongle.

Don't know if this has been mentioned in the other 10+ pages. Excuse me if it has been covered already.

When l get an e-mail saying l have a new private message, l click on link, go to AFF, but still have to log in to see message. I didn't have to log in before to see my private message.

New bug to report:
Clicking on the double right arrow icon on a thread in a user's subscriptions page, no longer takes a user to the most recent post in a thread that the user has subscribed to.

Good find, checked and I’m having the same problem!

Have seen this for a while now, but it doesn't seem to have been documented as a bug.

It's to do with articles, and specifically clicking on the link when they appear in the new post results. The link provided to the item in new post results (eg http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/com...ppropriate-uniformed-airline-staff-24312.html) differs from that provided if browsing via the news & views link (The Australian Frequent Flyer Online Community - Is it appropriate for uniformed airline staff to travel in Business Class?).

However, when you click on the link from new posts you received the following error message:

Sorry, you do not have permission to access this page.

Just a slight frustration I thought might be worth mentioning.

Oops, looks like it has already been mentioned. The main gripe I have is that although you can access via an alternative link, when you click 'New Posts' the inaccessible threads will continue to show up in the search results.

...and they hang around in the unread list until you do a "Mark Forums Read" action.

I cannot see that this has been mentioned previously but I find that 'often' though not always that pages are very slow to open. I have not been able to find any pattern to this and it happens in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Any thoughts anyone :?:
