Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I received the letter as well:

I'll wait until 1st Feb before activating the Comp PP membership. :p

I have the platinum credit card (CPA). AMEX said that they will be sending information shortly outlining the change to Reserve but points to QF would remain at 1.25.

I'm confused. I didn't think you could transfer points to QFF from the Platinum credit card?

That looks like the same letter, but i'm sure itmentioned the travel insurance.

I'll check mine again tonight.
The dark card that came with the letter does indeed mention Domestic and International travel insurance.

Aha, I'm not going crazy (for the moment!). :D

Will be sure to file the card away until renewal time comes around in case Amex try and pull a swifty on fees/benefits (surely not ).

So am I right in assuming (apologies if it's been mentioned) that the only card of the 3 allowing transfers to SPG and QFF are the $900 Charge card?

Think I'll stick with my Earth Plat and Green AMEX...

Am thinking about using the flight to NZ, and will book it shortly.

Any way of knowing which fare bucket it needs availability in?

Also, I've sent off the activation for the PP membership. Will use the two entries over a year (and they will come in handy), but at $US27 for additional entries, I'm not really sure I'll use it any other times.

Based on my recent booking experience:

-Fare buckets: X, L, C, E (Somewhere in those classes)
-Can't pay extra to book into high classes
-Direct flight only
- $70 fee + airline additional for date change

I'm guessing that's humour related to their dates of flights to ZQN, implying that you'd need the PP membership to enter The Lounge? ;)

I'm now starting to like this move to DJ as it resulted in PP being added as well, so all those who were whinging about no lounge access when flying DJ has had this met somewhat (although The Lounge network isn't as extensive). It does mean for me though that I can lounge when flying LCC around Europe if I want to.

Slightly OT but it's worth remembering that with the Platinum Charge Card you get a full PP membership. :D

It does seem to have improved in value.

I notice when you login to check your statement now, the little picture of the AMEX C/C card has changed, on the right hand side it has an addition.

My October statement is headed "Platinum Reserve" as well. Not that I have had any communication from Amex as yet.

I just logged in and checked my APESMA supplied Platinum card and can confirm my little card picture has changed to a Reserve one too... but have received no written info re: annual fee or benefit changes... wierd

Have not received October statement yet so can't comment whether heading has changed..

So even though my mail went to WA (Wait A-while), I seem to be one of the first to have received it? :p

With the $900 Pat Charge Card, does the Insurance cover spouse and dependant children while travelling. I have read through the Insurance Brochure but could not seem to find anything on this. so my apologies if I am just missing it.

ie does it just cover you or all in your family as per paid Executive Travel Insurance?

I was originally on Rewards Maximiser (Gold) and was moved to Platinum Credit Card (sans free flight) last year, while keeping the same annual fee.
I rang yesterday and was told that I would be Platinum Reserve but without the flight though with the Priority Pass membership. I did ask about going full Platinum Reserve since the flight to NZ would 'cover' the higher annual fee - the agent said to fill out the form - I was hoping to just be offered it over the phone. He did however spruik the Platinum Edge card.

Does anyone know if you can 'upgrade' the Priority Pass membership to a full membership?
