From a customer service perspective I would suggest that those that did advise interest in joining by way of a message in the forum, or a message direct to Admin should be permitted to join in the group.

I concur. Remember, to maintain the corporate scheme I believe we need to ensure the continued participation of at least 10 members. This would be a sure-fire way to keep our numbers up.

PS - I was pleased to receive my membership kit in the post today.

When we initially launched the drive to get the 10 founding members, I was not aware that they had to be new Qantas Club members. So those (non GOLD) members who were already QF Club members were not able to participate in the founding group, even though they did express interest.

So, this is the executive decision: All those (non GOLD) members who contacted me before 10 August about renewing their QF Club membership under our scheme can qualify to use our corporate scheme. Just PM me..

If you are not a GOLD member, click HERE for more information about our membership levels and the massive benefis of being a GOLD member.

(If you choose not to become a GOLD member and want to join a Qantas Club Corporate scheme do a Google Search. You may well find that you already are a member of an organisation/club/professional body which have their own scheme and you can therefore get the discount.)

As someone that was becoming confused by the development of this thread,this response from a fellow FF does make things a little clearer for me. I am an existing QC member and have been so since 1993. I did respond to the thread initially but since then it all seemed to trail off into somewhere else. Simply put, can I transfer my membership and enjoy the lower fees?

I would certainly only limit it to those that responded prior to the establishment of this group. I do recall that when this first started, there was a call for anyone that wanted to join the group, then it was realised that it had to be NEW members.

I can't imagine that there are very many. However, just to ease the peace and try and have a win win for all this maybe an option worth conisdering.

I am going to lock this thread now (and make it sticky) because things are getting unmanageable and a bit confusing.

This is the situation:

1. We now have a frequentflyer.com.au Corporate Qantas Club membership scheme.

2. All our GOLD subscribers are entitled to significant savings (currently $200) when joining Qantas Club under our scheme or, if already a Qantas Club member renewing their Qantas Club subscription under our scheme. See details at http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/community/gold-membership-privileges/

3. Any non GOLD frequentflyer.com.au member who contacted me or posted on this thread before 10 August about renewing their QF Club membership under our scheme can qualify to use our corporate scheme. PM me approximately 3 weeks before your current Qantas Club membership expires for details.

I hope this clears up the confusion.

Individual Membership: $775 for 1st year. Renewal fee is $405 for 1 year or $730 for 2 years.

AFF Corporate Scheme: $555 for 1st year. Renewal fee is $325 for 1 year or $570 for 2 years.
