It depends on the weight of what you are ordering.

The minimum pre-discount delivery is about USD30, 1 to 2 lb about USD42.

I just went through the steps and I still see the discount show if you use an Amex card.

I read through the posts, and based on what everyone says the 30% discount don't show on the shipping calculator page; so I'm just wondering where does MyUs apply the extra 30% discount on shipments?

My account has just automatically been renewed for free (based on Amex). The discount is applied at time of invoice e.g. from my latest invoice

No ... you get an extra 10% to make 40% all up.

I just shipped out and while there was no price given at the time of shipping a check of the order after the confirmation email was received shows a weight-in of 2.9lb with a 'dimensional' adjustment of 0.1lb making 3lb - here's the billing info:

Hmm, my recent 3lb MyUs shipment cost US$29.59, that's with a 10% July discount and the 30% Amex promotion this thread refers to. The original cost before discounts was US$49.32.

That site quotes $80.96 for 5lb - I get $62 with the online calculator and with the 30% discount, that's $43 ...

thanks, there are a lot of variables, using the online calculator, premium service 5lbs to australia results in $62 like you say. Coupons and promotions eventually expire, the blog compares the lowest non-coupon rates for a fair comparison that doesn't expire itself.

p.s. The 5 lb rate on the site has already been corrected from $80.96 to $62.

No they don't but you wouldn't want to use them with an Australian iTunes account as most things are cheaper on the US iTunes.
It's easy to set up a US iTunes account and any purchases are transferred to your library, and it's easy to switch accounts for syncing iPhones, iPods etc

I would suggest (hope?) new accounts. Mine was automatically renewed after one year at no charge a short time ago.

yes I got a card from Amex today I went to myus.com/americanexpress-au address as the card suggests. The first window said it's free but when I clicked sign up the new page asked $80 (including Step 4). So I didn't submit the form. Seems like a glitch to me.

I had the same experience. I was concerned I might be using the wrong AMEX card, as while the one I use is from an association, my bank sent me another unsolicited. The card doesn't mention either the association or the bank, so I can't tell which it is (I figure it's not the corporate one as the postcard was sent to my home address). It's not obvious who to contact.
