I'm interested in this. The current $337 price for SYD Hilton is tough to swallow though. :(

I'm definitely in for this if still at SYD.
I get back from LOTFAP two days prior so prefer not to travel to the GC

I'm pretty sure he meant "come down by $120", not "come down to $120".

The price is still $300+ according to the Hilton web site.

The Exec Lounge is smaller than HSW, much larger than SYD. Great staff and very impressed. Two more nights to go to check it out ;)

The Hilton Any Weekend, Anywhere sale ends on 31 January 2012. Might be good to confirm location before then to take advantage of it.
Although I think Advance Purchase rates will still be available after that. Just a thought. :)
 
Hi Guys and Girls

To be honest, Hilton Sydney has left a sour taste in my mouth jacking prices up, then only offering to give a group discount based on numbers, so unless someone else wishes to organise with Sydney, the event is cancelled.


In other news...


Hilton Surfers Paradise will be the venue of the 2012 AFF midyear Xmas function.


There are some great advance purchase rates at the Hilton at the moment, but as with anything, as the rooms get taken, the prices will increase, so the longer you leave booking, the more expensive it will be! As with the HSW event, please let me know your booking name and reference which I will pass onto the Hilton to keep them in the loop with our numbers.

I am in negotiations with Luke Mangan at the moment to provide a 830pm sitting on a fixed menu at SALT GRILL at the Hilton, his PA has entered the date into his event calendar, so hopefully Luke himself will get involved. I do need confirmed numbers for this as our costs will depend on the number of diners, so I ask a show of hands as to how many people would attend dinner after exec lounge drinks.

The menu would be roughly 3 courses with 2 choices, and a vege option. Price to be determined, but having dined there a few times previously, it’s not overly expensive.

I will be asking the MODS to close this thread to avoid confusion, and start a new thread ASAP.

Very keen on this, although not sure if I'll be able to swing actually staying at the Hilton that night. Can you let us know if attendance at the drinks/meal is possible without staying at the Hilton?

Attendance for the meal YES. Exec lounge, once knowing numbers, I will negotiate with HSP for a similar deal that we officially had with HSW regarding lounge access

I stayed at the Hilton Surfers Paradise last month and it was good. Nice new property.
No such thing as an upgrade given the room types though!!

I'm GOLD because it's 6 months away.
 
So do we now have 2 separate events or is their just the 1??

I'd be pretty certain I could attend regardless of location.
 
I am GOLD as it is 6 months away as well.

I can probably go down late in the arvo and will come back Sunday morning.
