I'm happy to change to Surfers, or even change the date in Sydney (a week later in Syd is not so bad, but that could quickly change I guess!)
 
Gold Coast would be easier for me and would be a definite starter for the event.

If there is a venue change, could be an idea to close this thread and start again just to avoid confusion. MunitalP, i'm happy for you to make this call.

Just a thought, HSW was great. Why not go there again? and some can do a Flounge visit on the way.

Won't be going to Hilton Sydney at that price :evil:
Points cost is also horrendous.
Will watch thread for a change of venue/date
 
I'd second storyteller's suggestion of HSW as a backup choice ;)
 
Happy with any of the 3 destinations. Prefer SYD or OOL though.

If we have enough numbers maybe we can get a special group rate for hotel??

not such an issue for me.... My bar tab usually far exceeds what I have spent on accommodation:shock:
 
OOL works for me and +1. At this stage we are a definite possible
 
Interested in Surfers or Melbourne or Sydney, but not Sydney at the new incresed prices.

Sydney is looking at a group booking for us -the cogs seem to move very slowly at that hotel! I have had a reply today, so am trying to estimate numbers to get the revised costs. They would have been better off just leaving it as it was in my opinion :-|

Surfers - I am in negotiations with a famous chef for a catered meal at a nearby restaurant to compliment the night, if this negotiation goes well and there is general acceptance, this could be another option.

Will keep you posted...

WHilst id love to do surfers i suspect +1 will veto that once she realises how much AKL is costing *S*
And something about weekends at home may come up!

STill a likely for Sydney subject to a reasonable price

Not a starter for Gold Coast (unless delinquent has no football game that weekend in which case it may be a RC run)
rollercoaster run!
He very carefully chose busch gardens on our RTW trip as teh best roller coasters then wasnt allowed on due to his broken arm from snowboarding!
Talk about peeved teenager!
 
happy to do it ( but not at exhorbidant prices:: Sydney Hilton ... listening?)

just need to talk +1 into it. Thankfully I'm so full of bulls*t it won't be a problem..:(
