I miss this by a couple of days by being in Adelaide 14th to 16th and then Sydney 18th to 22nd.
Will have to do this next time Buzzard.

Still tentative... It's a big week for frequent flyer events - 3 events in 3 cities across 2 continents...

When I planned this event, it was costed based on 25pax, a non profit event as per AFF guidelines.

To date only 19 seats have been sold and it appears as though only 16 will attend.
My understanding is that outbackowner +1 have had to pull out, and my +1 is heading interstate following the death of her brother this morning.

In order to minimise my loss I have changed the transport to a 24 seater mini bus instead of the 50 seater coach promised.
The option of a 50 seater is still available should the remaining 6 tickets be sold.

Should anybody object to the change in transport please feel free to post here or PM me if you prefer.
Rather than upset anybody I will go back to the 50 seater.

Just a reminder that the departure is at 09:15 sharp.

I really look forward to not only this event but also to the sold out Saturday night social.

Really sorry to hear, Buzz.
I think last time we talked you mentioned he was unwell. I hope they had some special family time at Christmas.

Sorry to hear the sad news.

A minibus is fine! We survived it on the Yarra Valley :D

I'm happy to contribute more $$ so you are not out of pocket Buzz. Also condolences about your brother in law....I'm sure if you have to fly interstate over the weekend for the funeral, one of the Adelaide based AFFers can hold the baton and lead us around the wineries...I'm sure everything has been booked and the itinerary has been set.

Our condolences to you and Mrs Buzz.

Like others we are happy to pay more $$ so you are not out of pocket.

So sorry to hear about Mrs B's brother. Condolences to you both.

I enjoyed both the large and the small coaches for the Winery Tours at Barossa and Yarra Valley. I'm sure those attending will have a great trip.
I'll raise a nice glass of Central Otago Pinot to you all.

Condolences Buzz & Ruby.

I will try to confirm either way shortly...

My condolences to you Buzz and to Mrs B.
Hope it's not too much of an inconvenience for you to lead the tour on Sunday.
Regarding the coach, big or small, it makes no difference. Do whatever you need to do so you won't have to pay anything extra from your pocket and if needed I'm sure everyone will help.

Thank you to everybody for you condolences.

When BIL was airlifted to John Hunter last year he was given the best care possible and looked after very well.
Same goes for the Mater Newcastle when he was transferred there.

Excluding the last week or so when BIL was at Glen Innes Hospital, he spent his time at home on the farm exactly where he wanted to be. Knowing the outcome, we all had the opportunity to say goodbye and spend some time with him. A lot of people don't get that opportunity so we are thankful.

Moving to something a bit brighter, I shall not be out of pocket using the smaller 24 seat coach/bus.
Using the bigger 50 seater coach would add $10 each to cover the shortfall.

Now that we know the cost involved, I am happy for people to post YES or NO to the larger coach - I can tell them our choice as late as Friday morning. If at least half say yes, I shall get the bigger coach and only those that say yes can chip in.

I would be more than happy to wear the difference myself, no big deal as long as we are all happy and enjoy the day.
I fully understand that most of you have air fare and accommodation to pay for too.

I'm happy with either bus Buzz. I don't think anyone here wants you to be out of pocket either.

Both of us are happy with the 24 seater , especially as there are only 16 passengers.
