Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

I usually fly Qantas but I'm branching out this year. If I fly non-business class internationally on another Oneworld airline, do I get access to their lounge by having Sapphire status?

First time poster, please be nice!

I'm flying into LAX next week and am a Q Club member. Is there an airside lounge for arrivals to shower in before I go to a meeting off the plane, or is it just a moist towlette bath for me? 🤣

Thank you

There is no arrivals lounge access at LAX for Q Club or anyone else unfortunately.
If you want a shower best plan is to book a day room at one of the various airport hotels.

We have a hotel booked for the day but can't check in until 3pm, meeting is at 11am on the other side of Los Angeles so no time to go to another hotel to check in then drive there, and our hotel (near where my meeting is) have told us hard no for early check in. Not to worry - thanks for your help!

So I was just looking at the One World Lounge access site and noticed that access in JFK for OWE seems to have been reduced.

According to: Airport Lounges: oneworld Lounges & Airport Lounge Access A Qantas WP / OWE flying J on QF4 can only access:
  • T7 Alaska Lounge
  • T8 American Airlines Admirals Club - Concourse C
I would have thought they could access the:
  • T8 British Airways and American Airlines Soho Lounge or
  • T8 British Airways and American Airlines Greenwich Lounge
but description does not list Qantas:

Surely an oversight for Qantas not to have negotiated a premium lounge for QF4?

That’s an error.
The Greenwich Lounge is accessible for OWS/ J Pax and the Soho for OWE.
I was in both of those less than a week ago.

EDIT as a P1 flying QF4

So the same site for MSY states there is only one lounge "The Club at MSY" and only mentions BA as eligible. So do you think as a OWE / WF WP I can get in if IM flying AA?

Negative
There is no lounge access at MSY for any OWE flying AA.

:( that is what I thought.

This upcoming trip I will have two airports (MSY and IND) with no lounge access despite flying OW airline (AA) and being WP.

Guess I'll need to make sure I get my value out of two visit to AA Flagship in DFW, Soho in JFK and Qantas First in LAX.

I accessed the Soho lounge as a QF WP back in May. I only had 2 hours so gave the Greenwich lounge (research) a miss.
Seems like you weren’t the only one. 😁
Looking at those photos, quite a bit looks pretty much untouched from AA FS days?

Also, the link within the article is more up to date on “access” than the OW website.

Unfortunately, when I flew out of JFK on AS in May, I was relegated to T7. The AS lounge was adequate but goes from packed to empty (and presumably full again) as they schedule west bound departures in blocks - which makes operational sense for a mainly West Coast airline.

The Greenwich Lounge is the old Flagship and I couldn’t see any differences since it was the Flagship.

The Soho lounge is a massive improvement.

Yes, I can imagine. Some of the bits just looked familiar (retained).

Is the Soho in the space that was the AC? I don’t recall going there - just the FL.

I was in flagship last year and from memory the old AC was down the other end of the terminal. I have a morning flight but hopefully traffic is not too bad so I can check the new ones out.

There were two AC at T8, the one in Concourse B is now combined with the Flagship lounge to become the Greenwich lounge.

Concourse C AC is still open .
