Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Thanks again ... but sorry, yes to which? I 'am' VA Plat, but what evidence of that do you suspect the EY lounge guardian will want - on the BP or just a card? I suspect the BP would be better
Read my post again, and the rules as indicated by VA.
"Access only available when booked on an Etihad Airways operated flight.."

There is no caveat on whom to credit to in Velocity published rules, but who knows what may happen in AUH.

Thanks, yes I did (all 5 words of it - but as I asked "is it either ... or"?, the simple Yes answer wasn't entirely clear, ... so, sorry ), and I did, both before and again now. I assume you mean 'Yes' to my question about just flashing a VA Plat card with a BP with EY flight.

I wonder if the EY lounge guardians in AUH will be au fait with Virgin's lounge access policy? Guess I'll find out.

The answer was always "yes", maybe implied (subject to wierd interpretations by lounge gardians).

Easy enough to add FF number before the flight and redirect points and SC.

Do you know the Star Alliance equivalent to Royal Jordanian & Finnair for OW where you can play around with the FF club that appears on your BP? I have a reward ticket bought with Aeroplan, flying EY and I'd like to change it to VA for more reliable lounge access.

@RooFlyer
I believe EY offers lounge access to VA precious metals and VA can earn FF points on EY operated flights.

Does EY MMB allow the addition of VA FF number?

Maybe do the same and ask EY checkin to insert VA FF number?

Yes, I've been in correspondence about this over on another thread. :) My main query was how to evidence my VA Plat status to the EY lounge guardian. Advice over there (as far as I could make out) was to flash VA Plat card - as VA plats get access to EY lounges (I'm after the First, natch).

I'd rather VA plat was on the BPs. Its an aeroplan points ticket in J, so I expect aeroplan status - zilch - to be on there. Ideally, I'd like to change aeroplan for Velocity to have better ammunition to get into FLounge.

But yes, change it at EY check-in seems the best bet. But I have been meaning to ask about a StarAlliance equivalent to RJ anyway, since I'll be travelling SA a lot in future.

Pre Covid a physical VFF WP card showing expiry date was all you needed. Hopefully they’re now accepting electronic cards?

I will be clutching my physical WP card!
You should be fine!

I meant to add earlier that VA status on a BP wasn’t good enough, they wanted to see the plastic. But it’s been a while since I’ve graced AUH and watched sand accumulating on the mid-field white elephant…😔

Hi there, I'm a VA Platinum member and will be flying economy SQ278 ADL-SIN in a few days. SQ has clear rules for SilverKris Lounge access, however is a bit ambiguous on partner lounges such as the Plaza Premium in ADL.

Will I have access to the Plaza Premium and/ or VA lounge or neither?
Thanks
You will get the VA lounge in ADL I believe.
You could always ask at check in and no harm asking but my understanding is that SQ J tickets were getting passed to the Plaza Premium but others were still being directed to the VA lounge

Thanks, I asked the VA lounge staff and they said it’s fee to access plaza when flying economy as a platinum member. I was allowed into the VA lounge and reminded no boarding announcements were made for this flight.

SQ uses the Plaza Premium Lounge at ADL for all J passengers regardless of status

Question for lounge access if I may please:
We are SG flying J CX to HKG with 6 hour layover, connecting with KLM (bags being sent though to final destination)
I know we have Premium Plaza access in HKG but can we also access the Cathay/Qantas lounges?

If your KLM flight has a KLM flight number then you won't be able to access any oneworld lounges.

If your KLM flight is a Qantas Codeshare (that is QF flight number) and you are in business then you should have access to the Qantas lounge (if open).

Thanks, as I thought @serfty , ticketed KL not QF 😒 though will get the opportunity when homeward bound on QF 30.

Regarding use of business lounge in Doha airport for QF Gold member (oneworld sapphire) when transiting on economy Qatar flight.

I’m flying with my grandson on Qatar economy from Amsterdam to Singapore with a transit stop in Doha airport.

I’ve done some searching and reading on the subject but just hoping someone may have been in same situation and can provide some clarification. From what I can ascertain, I should be able to use the Qatar Gold Lounge South as it says it is available for One world Sapphire even when travelling on Qatar economy. My only confusion and concern is that I booked using AA awards so my QF number doesn’t appear on the booking and not sure if status will therefore appear on the boarding pass? Or will the lounge accept my QF card to prove status?

Yes, you’ll be able to access the new Gold lounge(s) - South and North?

Are you able to change your FF details on the booking online, I would have thought there’d be advantages with seat selection before you fly. Plus obvious benefit of having your OWS in the system. Otherwise, they should able to add it during checkin in AMS. Failing that, show you e-Card on your phone app.

Thanks for your reply :) I have tried to enter the Qantas FF details in but it just defaults back to my AA member number. I'll ask at check in at AMS
