Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Question about access to Qantas domestic lounge in Perth.
Scenario:
Gold status passenger
QF boarding pass
EK booking using Skywards miles to purchase QF ticket
Will I be allowed in the QF domestic lounge pre-departure in both Perth and Sydney? Flight is PER-SYD-PER
It will make a difference because the flight times mean for logistics, I would prefer to arrive early and wait in the airport rather than time it to minimise waiting time.
Assuming you mean your status is with QF?

See if you can exchange the FF# in your booking with the QF# so it should then show your status which should then get you in the lounge.

Yes, QF Gold

Good advice, thank you. Just rang EK and they gave me the equivalent QF booking reference and replaced my EK FF number in the booking with my QF one instead. Also confirmed that QF staff should give me no grief at all about entering the lounge given that I now have gold/QF boarding pass and QF booking reference. Cheers.

While you could try showing your status (card or app) at the door to get in, they may push back if it's not on your BP as they'll want to scan that in which is why I suggested trying to add it to the booking (I realise as a EK reward ticket it will have an EK number in it but once it's issued you should be able to remove/change that).

Hi, can a Qantas domestic business class passenger (no status) have a non-flying guest accompany them into the Qantas lounge?

Yes, one guest doesn’t need to be travelling.

I am travelling domestic from Melbourne to perth at T1, Melbourne. I wonder if there’s any chance I can access lounge(e.g. house) located at the international departure hall in T2, Melbourne.

Thanks.

Not sure if this is the right thread. I have booked QFF reward flights one way TLV to LHR flying codeshare on BA metal BA164. J class ( first time woo hoo). There is the Dan Lounge at TLV. Anyone know if my tix will give me access to that lounge?

EDIT:. Seems that BA J pax have access but nothing on QF website.

Your award flight is unlikely to be a code share, as indicated by your BA flight number. As a business class passenger you’ll be entitled to the full BA business class offering, including lounges. This is based on class of service, and nothing to do with Qantas (so not surprising they won’t have a lounge listed in TLV).

Anyone have any experience with whether there is any leniency at lounges for bringing my children in as additional guests to Singapore Airlines (or partner) lounges? I am kris flyer gold and trying to see how to bring in my partner and children. Interested in Sydney, Singapore and Heathrow.

This is sorted now, I can see my QF booking in my QF app and it even suggests that I go in their lounge, so that's all sorted and squared away. The question now is that when I click on the link in the app under manage my booking and go to look at the details of my lounge invite, it quite clearly says the lounge is only accessible up to one hour before each departing flight. This has me imagining that they're going to reject early arrivers (like I intend to be) for wanting access before 1hr prior to the departure of my flight as recorded on my boarding pass.

How seriously do Qantas typically enforce this rather draconian new rule they've obviously dreamt up to prevent members being able to eat/drink more than the value Qantas are willing to reward them with for their loyalty?

In my case, my flight is at 11pm. I'm doing the midnight horror red-eye in order to avoid an extra hotel night in Sydney, so my plan was to get to the airport early, say between 7-8pm and then have myself dinner in the Qantas lounge before getting on the flight at 11. Is there a likelihood of pushback from getting in and being shown the clause that I'm not allowed in prior to 10pm?

I'm not sure about this hour before thing. Some domestic lounges in smaller locations, like OOL, do open and close depending on the schedule. PER though, while there is a break in east coast departures between 5-6pm and the redeyes, still has other departures and stays open.

I would say you would get no issues arriving at 7 or 8pm for your flight east. As long as your pass scans fine (which it will) then I see no problem at all and I doubt the staff will comment other than a welcome.

Can I use the qantas club lounge at Sydney T3 if I am travelling later in the day on a jetstar flight? or are there special rules at Sydney since T2 and T3 are separate?

I have a qantas club membership and a 3hr layover in sydney before a jetstar flight in the evening - so want to twaddle over to the qantas club lounge in T3 to relax

Will I be able to get in?
