Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

QF are 100% NOT granting lounge access to QR business customers (unless Platinum). Furious as we are given a $60 meal voucher instead - the only place open to spend it is McDonalds. Paid to gain access to Aspire House lounge that would let us in as walk-ins but complaint to Qatar is incoming.

I was looking forward to have Christmas dinner at the F lounge.

You hold an Amex Plat so I presume you also have Accor Plus. Just a suggestion, but if CX check in doesn't have any alternative lounge arrangement, you could head to Mobius Bar & Grill at the Pullman nearby for a half price dinner? (if you're travelling as a pair)

Just check they're open on Christmas day. They do a decent S&P squid!

Anyone know what lounge CX J gets to use in Sydney - flying out this weekend.
are the CX lounges open in HK?
I don’t think there is any lounge access at SYD for CX J right now.
Report on my Facebook group of CX J pax refused access to QF F.
Only way to access would be via OWE status flying CX.

Thank you all for the confirmation.
@sudoer - I'll check out their website now. Thanks for the recommendation, hopefully they are open.

So close getting into QF F lounge.. I don't think we will ever have another opportunity but hopefully our decision to cancel LA/Canada for Thailand is a good one.
Bye bye booking:

Merry Xmas all - hope you're all staying safe

Quick from me - travelling on QF Domestic Y this week. QFF Silver on the Booking, but have OWE with a partner airline.

Can you still get J lounge access with the OWE membership if it's not on the booking or BP?
Cheers

By the following page, the answer is yes - just need to prove your Emerald status.

However, lounge agents often confuse Qantas' rules with oneworld rules. With Qantas' rules, your statused membership needs to be attached to the PNR for the flight segment. This should only only relevant for travel in relation to Qantas' non oneworld partner airlines such as Emirates. Be prepared to discuss the difference.

Update from the airport - no lounge access for CX. Only Qantas metal can use their lounge she said.

That's a shame but not entirely unexpected. Did you happen to ask at CX check-in if they are offering anything in lieu? Vouchers etc.

Nope. Nothing offered. Just said there is no lounge access.
I should've asked if there was anything given in lui but enough time was wasted while they check and recheck all documentation.
Proofing to them the Amex card comp travel insurance covered covid was a pain.

Anyone know of which SYD lounge LA will get access to when they return?
Parents are looking to go SYD-AKL around May and we’re considering them in J.
Also looking for somewhere to credit the points now if possible. I’ve recommended that they pay a little bit more and go with NZ or QF if that concerns them

QF Biz lounge assuming it’s open by then.
Edit: if still bookable as a QF codeshare. Otherwise SkyTeam?

NZ is probably a waste if chasing points (unless crediting to another *A program).

If the experience is more important than the points, then look closely at the aircraft operated by all three options. LA will be 787 but QF and NZ will vary and could change at short notice. QF A330 would be a good option.

The NZ flight/s they are looking at are the 787 but I don’t know how often NZ substitute aircraft and if they got pushed on to a all Y A320 they would cancel the flight. They are KrisFlyer members so could credit to that plus have the NZ lounge (if it’s open then)

Will LA still get the QF lounge now they have left OW?
Prices might change but QF currently about $500pp more expensive

Oh, my bad! Yes LA if booked direct and not a QF codeshare would probably end up in the SkyTeam lounge.

Fingers crossed for all of us, the NZ lounge (and othered) should be open by then.

Quick question: I have booked a mixed cabin award on BA from SYD-SIN-LHR for this Dec. SYD-SIN is in premium economy connecting onto business from SIN-LHR. Wondering if I get lounge access at SYD.

Thanks

Premium economy on its own does not come with lounge access, and as this is not a short haul flight connecting to a long haul, you would not get access under OneWorld rules.

If you have status with any one world airline that comes with lounge access you’ll be able to use that.

That's unfortunate.
Thanks for your quick reply.
