I'm going to be tight for time so getting a cab from Brunswick 5:30/6ish. If anyone wants to tag along, or is driving past let me know.

I've decided to be responsible and take the skybus too, instead of driving.

I'm planning to arrive around 4pm ish, I think a few AFF'ers (AaronBradford and Chris?) will be around then too. I've got to set up a few things in the lounge before you all arrive. ;)

Mode of transport not certain at this stage but likely to be public. Train to SC station, then Skybus out to airport at ~1730.

Now looking like driving. I'm overnighting at HI airport so no driving home on the night.

Assuming I actually do end up driving, am happy if it 'works' to transport some people to the airport. Coming from SE 'burbs (Ashwood)

I was planning SC at about 6pm - but looks like I might be heading to PEK am 18th so Cruiserette prolly drive us out there now.

LiamR Cruiserette may be a late addition if that is OK - will advise as soon as the Chinese get their act together.

Arghh:-, So that is where the party is after pax get ejected from the DJ lounge :p.
Not far too stumble to. :D :p

Haha, well it depends who gets the better room ... if they give me my "usual", it could be in my room instead :D
(BTW, we both stupidly have an early flight to Brisbane, so I suspect there would be an early curfew involved )

Yeah, I'll be in around 3:40pm, all going to plan. :)

Your room sounds a far better proposition! :p

This seemed like a too good an opportunity to pass up, so I am going to Melbourne for 15 hours.

Arrive 17 Feb DJ326 arrive 4:20pm standard Y
Depart 18 Feb QF610 depart 9:05am JASA was hard to pass up.
Staying at the HI Airport, I needed those 3,000 points.

Will send Liam a PM with my details.

I'm surprised more of you aren't familiar with Skybus. I'm at the point where I buy the 10-trip multi ticket on a regular basis. Looking forward to meeting all of you, Skybus newbies and regulars, on Friday.

The skybus is awesome. I tend to use it. Hate mel cabbies and only use them when absolutely required.

My prob with the sky bus is i live about half way in on the sky bus route (Brunswick) and hate doubling back.

I would advise against driving if you are going to do the same-day return from the AGM. You will have the same problem upon returning from BNE (hangover, then drinking from ~midday to 7:30pm straight, then more on the plane if flying J).

Last year I parked at the office, and took the SkyBus, but after the AGM I spent ~4 hours after my flight landed sobering up in the CBD before I felt comfortable to drive from the office home. Thankfully a MEL-based AFFer was free to go to a coughtail bar and watch me drink coke for most of that 4 hours.

YMMV

I go through 2 or 3 Skybus 10 trippers each year.

On Saturday, I will be using a Train to Essendon station and connecting to a 478 bus that leaves for the airport every hour or so during the day.

Since I have a Myki pass, the only cost is time - of course this is not usful for Fridays's activities unless one has an afternoon to kill and wishes to arrive early.
