how about some ice cream in the QP? Yes, I know I could just get some downstairs in the zoo, but a little treat every once in a while would be appreciated. Maybe some Maggie Beer's?

Not a bad suggestion, guess they could run a promotion, but having a permanent fixture might be difficult/costly/messy.

For Qantas Business Lounge, I could see this as a real treat to be plated around during a warm summer arvo or even to have a few of those big metal tubs of it for an hour or two, but all day would be expensive, and that's just in the business lounge, but in the Qantas Club? Forget it! Way too expensive, even if it was just Streets Blue Ribbon!

They have handed out ice creams at the start of school holidays in the international J lounge before (but it was a miniature cone). Certainly can't beat the F lounges with unlimited supply!

You would think it would be affordable to have one of the soft-serve machines. I won't deny it would be a complete mess but it fits well with that feral, sizzler element of the QP ;)

I'd be happy with one of those big icecream machines you get at Sizzler. I was actually thinking this exact thing this weekend!

Think SIN (and obviously SYD, MEL) were the only ones with icecream

Probably even less healthy - but a Slurpee machine would be great also!

And you could make odd alcoholic drinks with this and vodka etc ......

They had gelato in the Sydney international j lounge the other week. Next to the espresso machine at the island. Don't fly regularly enough to know whether that's a permanent fixture though. The peri peri chicken burger was delicious too (minus the pineapple ring!)

I'd be happy with these

I know they had somebody serving ice cream cones last January in the school hols as my kids and I indulged. They think this is what dad does when he's off travelling.
