Allocated - King Oceanview Room
Notes - No complimentary benefits. Was welcomed as a Platinum and that I have been allocated an upgraded room. Room is not ready so I say no problem I will go across to the RSL for lunch and come back later. No sir have a seat and let me see what I can do for you. After about 5 minutes I was allocated another room and when I went to the room it was barely oceanview but had a wonderful view of the construction next door. I could have gone back and complained but I could not be bothered. You win some, you lose some.

The construction did not bother me so much as the point that I booked Ocean View room and #518 should not be classed as Ocean View and being informed that I have been upgraded and in fact I was not upgraded at all.straitman said:I would not go back until internal and external construction is completed.

As an award stay, room type is only allocated on arrival. Was booked into 1010 - went up to room but it was 2 double beds (and when cot was added for daughter, there was no room for luggage, etc).
