P.S. Planning our own lounge crawl in 2 weeks. Wife kept asking me when are we going back to HKG to visit the lounges? ;)

I will be in the HKG lounges in 2 weeks (Friday 20th NOV)

Doing the same with my other half on the 30th.

Not sure where my base will be come June, but I'll pencil it in on my notebook that you'll likely be passing through SIN on the Friday night.

I depart at 12 noon Friday 20th on KA908, so I guess our paths won't cross this time

I just had my stroll a few days ago, and I can say that the Pier first lounge is definitely worth a visit. Personally, I prefer it over the Wing. It's less open, but feels quite luxurious in parts. The wing seems a bit like an open air cafe to me now.

And for those who hasn't booked tickets yet - QF30 will be operated by a 744.

Im sitting in the Pier First Lounge typing this (started in the Wing and called into 3 others so far), and I concur - the Pier is my pick in HKG. I do however think that it is something that every frequent flyer should Work out for themselves though extensive research as everyone looks for different things (I am heading to the EK and QF lounges next just to make sure.)

Please count me as Gold.
I am going to do some research this weekend.
Sale on PE fares atm (I'm looking at buying FC gift cards from WW at 10% off - never thought I would book through them but quite a saving ).

OK - I'm now Platinum :D.

Excellent news.

Bonus points for the booking method.

The best way to put it is, there's no "group", but merely a bunch of individuals who decide to fly from HKG to somewhere on OW flights on the same date, and we all happen to check out various lounges at the same time. There are quite a few plats here so it shouldn't be too difficult to find someone to help you access the F lounges, but it's best to confirm it first as they may have already allocated the guest spot to someone else. (e.g. I might bring a +1).

What Andy said. There is a list of names in the second post which shows the members that are WP and can therefore guest others in. There are only two (?) F lounges in HKG so you can get to most in your own right anyway - as long as you are flying a OW marketed and operated flight.

You would be more than welcome.

I'm very tempted to make my first ever AFF lounge crawl. Quick question - what time will people typically meet up on the day?

Last time we were in HKG, we started around 1-2pm. I'm guessing it would start at a similar timing this time as well. Do you have any OW status? Not a problem if you don't, but do let us know so in the event where others come along later asking for guesting spots, we know you are here first. :)

I'm WP - and this is my swansong as will be lucky to earn 100SCs this membership year with a rolling average too low to have any chance of being comped. So thought I'd best make the effort while I still can easily access those lounges :)

When I was WP on two occasions Mrs. Lime and self did some fantastic lounge crawls in HKG, lots of OW choice, it usually lasted about 3/4 hours then we rolled onto the plane :)

Pity its not 17th April will be departing HKG again.

Great, thanks, I'll most likely arrive around 2:15 on Jetstar Asia from Singapore.

That sounds like the perfect time to get in.

It might be teaching you to suck eggs, but make sure your flight out of HKG is with QF* or another OW carrier.

*QF is preferred as that will allow access to the EK lounge as well.
