HKG lounge crawl 12 June 2016

About time to attend my first AFF lounge crawl. I'll be Gold for now until flights are booked.

Silver for me please - I've been having terrible HKG lounge withdrawals since moving back to Oz!
 
Couldn't find any cheap fares in the sale but count me in. I'm sure a deal will come up between now and then.
 
I can only hope that the BA Lounge is, both, open and has a CCR bar so that I can hide from you lot! :p

It is highly likely I will be returning from the UK on the 11th June and transiting through HKG on the 12th June. Which one of you has access to my UK meetings calendar? :p

The new Pier is great and will be a highlight I'm sure.

Seems the specials were largely bait and switch. Cheap flight over and standard fare back is all I could find. Put me down as Silver for this one as well. Will2Rob - it might be a repeat of 2014 without the dragon boats or beer festival.

The sale flight back was there when I checked a couple of days ago. I was just too slow to book it so ended up coming home via BNE. :rolleyes:

You'll find the dragon boats out and about around 9 June (actual date of the actual festival), so they might just have something on/around the weekend as well.
 
I booked QF29 ($315) and QF30 ($284) ok ($599 total) about six or seven hours before the sale ended. I'm looking forward to it. It should be a great weekend.

i'm actually based in hkg. so wonder how to attend this (perhaps a no show?) lol...

Give me a clue how this crawl works - do you just book a return to HK and never enter HK but just visit all the lounges until your flight out? Do those with lounge access guest in those without?

You can arrive in HKG whenever you like. It can be on the day or earlier as you choose.

On the day of the crawl you must be booked on a One World flight out, and generally the later the better. The QF flights are preferable as they will also allow access to the EK lounge.

Access is dependant on either having status, or being guested by someone who has.

SG/OWS will get access to most lounges (not the CX F lounges), and WP/OWE will get access to all*.

*Actually I am not sure if a OWE flying QF gets access to the EK lounge, unless they are in J.

Would it be different to lounge access rules in SIN/BKK? I have had access to both lounges flying QF economy.
