Re: How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

If you do turn right you end up at Ampang Park "Plaza" which is open from 10am daily. It is shorter once you work it out (but no good before 10am as the Plaza is not open).
Head right after the ticket gates, go down the corridor, turn left at the end and proceed up the escalators.

At the top of the escalators you would end up with this view:

Walk forward and then turn right. You will see a narrow road with a pedestrian crossing leading to the Plaza.

Cross the road and go up the steps; then right just at the top of the steps. You will see down the walkway the golden arches of Maccas!

Walk down, but not all the way . You will approach an overhead sign indicating "Pedestrian Bridge":

When you reach this sign, turn to the left and not far ahead is a similar sign indicating the "Pedestrian bridge":

Get to this and on the right are escalators leading up:

Take this and head forward, veering to the left as you follow the blue overhead sign:

You will go through some doors (locked before 10am) to a walkway leading over the road to the "Intermark" - that's where the DoubleTree is.

That shopping centre is often closed and locked up by about 8pm, so if you arrive after this time, you won't be able to follow the pedestrian bridge signs as the shutters will be down. In this case, just continue proceeding forward in Serfty's photo above towards the McDonalds sign, you'll go past a KFC and Pizza Hut sign, through a short right left corridor and out onto the street. Then you'll note a set of stairs that lead up to the same point as you'd get if followed the signs.

Just thought I'd mention it as most times when i arrive in KL, the shopping centre is already closed.

Re: How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

God Bless AFF, at first I was just going to book the Hilton, but I think this thread has convinced me to go DT and save a few bucks.

On that, does MYR316 p/n (AP rate) seem like a good deal?

Does to me, but it's my first time to KL so I have no idea!
