The weirdest thing once happened while watching the sky and I've always been too embarrassed to discus. Maybe Frequent Flyers or pilots could sympathize or even explain:

Lounging on a deck chair opposite my sister on a very humid evening, many years ago. Staring up at the clear night sky, totally sober, no drugs involved. I saw what appeared to be a couple of very bright single lights hovering independent of each other, very, very high in the sky to the right. I lazily observed for a few seconds, never once questioning them as I subconsciously reasoned it was an airplane of sorts. They stayed in the one spot, then slowly moved left. That got my consciousness alert and I focused on them intently. Their trajectory and speed was totally inconsistent and far too slow to be a shooting star, plus how many stars shoot in pairs?

Without warning, they suddenly streaked left across the entire sky - one a little faster than the other. Then they just disappeared.

You know that inner voice that whispers "something's not quite right here"? Part of me was still trying to reconcile the argument that it was a plane. The other half was protesting "NO WAY - planes don't fly THAT fast in tandem"

No need to call me crazy. I feel silly enough writing this.

I also believe I have seen something that can't be explained. I don't tell my experience to too many people as there are a lot of non-believers out there.

No experiences but I dont believe that all the universes and everything in them exists just for us poor excuses of life.

If there is something, someone out there - Im sure theyve taken a look at us and went, Nope.

I think we've all seen Unidentified Flying Objects...... if you use those words strictly anyway. "Whats that in the air over there...No idea...Ok its unidentified and its flying" So its a "UFO".

Doesn't make it an alien space craft.

Denali.. Agreed! And after all we are in the "unfashionable Western end of the spiral arm of the galaxy".....;)

BUT.... I'm bemused by the way you seem to suggest there must be something else out there because the Universe wouldn't exist just for "poor excuses" like us..... Does it NEED a reason to exist? Can't it just...be?.

Please, please elaborate. No judgement from me.
Ok, my experience with un-explained lights was about 45 years ago on a beach on the east coast of NZ at a place called Mount Maunganui or now known as the port of Tauranga (where I originate). Mine was a bright light at around the 1 o'clock position. The light dropped quickly (maybe 2 seconds) to above the horizon line then shot up on a 45 degree to the right to around the 3 o'clock hovered there for about 15 seconds, then took off across the sky at that level until it disappeared within 5 seconds. Was definitely not a plane or helicopter, Friend worked at the control tower of Tauranga airport and he confirmed that no flights were in the air that night.

Isn't there a place in Texas that is known for their unusual lights on the horizon?

Firstly I think there must be something else
out there even if just a single cell object and I have zero belief in any sort of religion.

I've been to the UFO museum in Roswell New Mexico and while they have plenty of fuzzy photos there was nothing there that was hard evidence. Plenty that put a smile on my face and recommend the place for its ' quirky interest'.

I have also been to Area 51 (Rachel Nevada) where people take their RVs and spend a week waiting and hoping to see the ufo that crashed at Roswell in the 1950's!

More likely they will see an unknown aircraft type from Skunkworks.

The Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas (worth a visit) has some limited ufo sighting info.

Yes I prefer the odd museums as entertainment.

I think that there has (on balance) got to be some other life in the universe , not just us. So do I think it’s crazy? No!
It would be cool to live to see the day we meet alien / extraterrestrial life.

My dad swore he saw something take off with bright lights over the Barossa Valley one night around 55 years ago. He said the corrugated iron roof of a local farmers shed shower scorch marks the next morning

We have our own home grown ufo's , they are called min min lights… very scary
Oh I remember those stories. Used to frighten the s@!t out of us as teenagers walking home at night in the Northern Territory
