I am current staying in sofitel broadbeach on a stay 3 pay 2 rate, with 2 breakfast and 100 USD credit.

I have used an agent that has online booking tool so you can just book yourself without calling anyone (sorry not going to advertise who it is, there are a few out there with automated booking engine if you look online)

So all I paid $570 for 3 nights which is a crazy good deal, consider the breakfast would cost 100 per night (70 with accor plus) and the 100 USD is equivalent to 140 AUD (post discount with accor plus, so I can charge $200 pre discount), so all up $460 in F&B credit if you dont have A+ and $410 if you have A+.

There are tons of stay 3 pay 2 for Accors in AU and globally. This beats any paid subscription discounts.

The new Accor plus is actually not that bad, very few blackout dates, the most important benefit is the stay 2 and pay 1 with the most expensive night for free. In my case the room rates were 450 and 220 for the booking and the 450 was waived.

The 30% FB discount also helps.

I got mine free with amex but even at 359 if used well will be more than worth it.

Sofitel Darling Harbour is 500 a night and lot of availability in January for free night

If you use both nights at $500 you definitely make your annual fee back, plus the 30 nights will help you with elite status.
