I remember watching a doco on someplace (which I promptly forgot the name) where large and extremely heavy rocks have been placed to do the seemingly impossible, like a pivoting door, perfectly balanced at the perfect pivot point that defies construction, even with our lifting equipment and skill of today. Certainly intriguing, if nothing else!

Someone earlier mentioned the flat earth brigade, however the flat earth theory was pretty popular back before it was proven wrong.
