Dear AFFers,

As promised in last year’s Out Of Office post, it’s certainly been an eventful year!

While I appreciate that some members were faced with challenges over the past 12 months, you’d have to agree that there have been many positive “enhancements” along the way too. ;)

I look forward to sharing more customer experiences and initiatives with you in the new year, including products and services that are world firsts in our industry.

Hopefully you’ve found my engagement on AFF to be useful, and I hope to continue in assisting and supporting the community wherever possible.

Only a short break for Red Roo this year; I’ll be back online Thursday, 1 January 2015. However in the interim, I’ll be keeping a close eye on the B767 thread and living vicariously through your posts!

From our home to yours, wishing you a safe and happy Christmas. See you again in the New Year!

Thank you for your engagement here. Certainly there has been a lot of challenges but there are also positives.
A lot of frustrations were directed at QF through your handle but hope that you did not take it personally.

We understand that you can only do so much and your efforts on this forum are certainly appreciated.

Many thanks and Happy Holidays!

Trying to think of an enhancement that's actually been positive for me this year...

Might have to get back to you on that :)

All the best to you and your family Red Roo. Thanks for your help.

But I am also trying to work out the positive enhancements for me.

Thank you for your participation on AFF Red Roo. I hope you don't have to start too early on New Year's Day and that you can get to see some of the fireworks!

Begging the question here I'm afraid.

Merry Christmas to you red roo and also to everyone else on the forum. Your participation here is greatly appreciated!

Positives for me this year are the enhanced meal times, the dinner boxes (I think they're a positive change), the business lounges staying open this year during Christmas, a couple of double points promos, the almost launched A330 suite, the introduction of a new later flight MEL-LAX, the re-scheduled LHR flights offering a choice of flight times, the announcement of the Tokyo Haneda route and subsequent increase in Japan flying, the apparent return to profit for QF group, there are plenty more too. OF course some prefer to focus on a few negatives.... that's fine, but I prefer to look on the upside.

Cheers

Thanks Red Roo - all the very best for the break. And best wishes to the entire Qantas team that supports engagement with customers, often in difficult circumstances, throughout the year.

Thanks to you and your social media team Red Roo for assisting with some personal issues.

Best wishes to everyone in the Qantas network for a safe and boringly routine holiday season. Sometimes boring routine is really a good thing.

Merry Christmas, Red Roo and the very best wishes for 2015. Much of the same for all the AFF'ers who help to make this forum special.

All the best to you too Red Roos and to all the genuine hard working Australians in the QF team - I honestly think you have done an excellent job this year in challenging times.
Begging the question here I'm afraid.
mib in the spirit of XMAS couldn't you give it a rest for just one day?

Merry Christmas to you and all at QF. Its a tough gig you have. Hoping the airline has turned the corner, the petty cost and service cutting has stopped and we can go back to actually enjoying flying QF again.

I hope enhancing "Merry Christmas" to "Happy Holidays" in your greeting was an oversight and not a corporate decision to de-Christmas this Christmas time of year.

An old fashioned "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" to you and your family Red Roo.

I take comfort in knowing that there is a true QF rep here on the site.

And to the other AFF members - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.

On Behalf of Mrs Ansett and I we would like to wish the Red Roo Team a Wonderful Safe and Merry Christmas with an even better 2015 to look forward to.

We would also like to wish all AFF Members a Wonderful Safe and Merry Christmas and lots of flying in 2015.

Stay Safe, Eat Well, Drink Well and Be Happy :)
